Im using this in my garage to run a 1/2 hp compressor and outdoor lights. I like that each plug is treated separately.

Outdoor Smart Plug, Etekcity Outdoor WiFi Outlet with 2 Sockets. *of note, my outside plugs have individual socket covers that open like a door with the hinges on the left. The door broke off of the top socket so it plugs in great but only if the door on the bottom one is open (see pix). Purchased almost 2 months ago and its been great. When it gets cold out, I keep a heating pad in a little cat house outside to keep them warm but a lot of times I would forget to turn it off before leaving for work in the morning and it was just a waste of electricity. Not only did this allow me to turn it off remotely but thanks to the so far flawless Alexa integration, I didnt even have to get off the couch to turn it on at night!! It took a minute to connect to my wifi bcz my providers new routers dont offer 2.4ghz. Of course I didnt know that before I purchased but after trying a good 10+ times, it connected. I named the individual sockets in the Alexa app and it has never failed me once. Now that its warm out, Ill be plugging in string lights soon!

I purchased this timer/switch/receptacle to power a small sand pump/filter on my pool and also to control some LED lighting, and I couldnt be happier with it. The fact that the two receptacles work separately is great, and its exactly what I wanted. Programming the timer function for each outlet was a breeze with the VeSync app (which is free by the way), and I can also switch each outlet on/off from my phone and Alexa voice control. It also tracks power consumption through the unit which I find interesting if not helpful to determine how much its costing me to run my pool filter for a couple of hours, twice per day. The unit itself is advertised as weatherproof, but there are no covers protecting the plugs that are plugged into it. So far this hasnt been a problem, but I have it located in a way that the plugs come into it from the bottom so rain should just run off without collecting in the receptacles. So far, so good. If youre looking for a twin timer/switch/receptacle with independent outlet controls, this is a great item. I wouldnt hesitate to buy another one. (You can also name the individual outlets any name you want, so if you had 3 of these you could easily name, identify, and control up to 6 different loads.)

Got this plug a couple of months ago. Use it to operate outdoor patio lights and a fountain. I like the convenience of turning our lights and fountain on from the VeSync app on my phone. The plug allows me to turn them on and off separately which I find to be very handy. Meaning I don’t have to have them both on even though they are plugged into the same power source. The only frustration I have experienced so far is needing to update the VeSync app only a few days after installing it. Not sure how often that will be required.

We use these in the summer for some outdoor fans and lights. They continue to work fine without issue. Use them with Google assistant no issue. I have Google Wifi and have not had any issues. Did have to reset one last year after being unplugged all winter. This year plugged them in and worked straight out. I think there may be better options since we purchased but have no complaints

This is my third Etekcity ESO15-TB. I like the 15A power rating for my snow melt mats (woke up to more snow and 7ºf degrees this morning). The app recording voltage, kWh, and watts of the snow melt mats is very helpful to track energy consumption. The scheduling function lets me turn the outdoor lights on at sun down and again in the morning (it is still dark to around 8am) Its more flexible than the old outlet I had that had and electric eye for sundown and # of hours to stay on, but no way to turn it on in the morning (short of entering the brutal winter elements)Unfortunately, my AT&T U-verse modem only supports one WiFi band at a time, so I have to reconfigure the modem to setup the device on the 2.4Hz band and then switch it back to 5.0GHz

I order one of these for an outdoor lighting project and they are solid! I bought it for the scheduling feature and remote activation but the energy usage graph is a nice extra. The energy usage feature is for both outlets total and it would be nice to have a usage for each. Overall Im happy and have 4 in total now. All 4 units I bought came from the Amazon Warehouse but were all perfect and saved a few bucks.

Needed this for outdoor lighting integration with existing smart plug system. Works flawlessly!

Wi-Fi is a little wonky in the connect but I finally got a reasonable signal. Should add 5ghz for a connect. Much stronger signal.

Truly weatherproof, I’ve got my fence string lights plugged into it and never have to worry about moisture getting in. The app allows me to place the lights on sunrise/sunset setting, saving my electric bill, as well. I’ve recommended to many friends who are now also raving about it. It’s amazing how the simplest things can make our lives easier and better!
