> 24 hourI had a small problem with the plug as received but an emailed question triggered rapid and thorough response from the company. They quickly resolved the problem to my benefit and satisfaction. The plug syncs up fairly easily and work seamlessly with Alexa. I rate the customer service five stars and only took away one overall because of a warning to keep the plug out of direct rainfall, since it is advertised as waterproof. However it has been in some pretty wet weather without problem so it may be an issue of semantics. I like this plug and appreciate the customer service that backs it up.

> 24 hourNot very tech savvy and this is the first fancy device to turn things on with my phone, electric outlet wise and I have to admit that I am pretty pleased. It doesnt feel bulletproof as its plastic and cheap. However, it works well and does the job. The only complaint I would have is that the hole in the back that you would mount to is too small for most screw heads and I had to file down a screw head to make it work. With that being said, I would purchase it again, but if you are not capable of taking a 16th inch off of a screw head or drilling a little bit bigger of a hole to accommodate the screw, then maybe you should stay away from it. But it works pretty good with minor modification.

> 24 hourIm using this in my garage to run a 1/2 hp compressor and outdoor lights. I like that each plug is treated separately.

> 24 hourWith a lot of these newer smart plugs, you dont really know what youre getting. I have this plugged in outside of the house on my back deck and use my Alexa to turn it on and off. It was relatively easy to set up as well (if you are a tad tech savvy). Now, I **DO** have WiFi that reaches out there, so that is a MAJOR consideration. If you dont have WiFi in the area that you want to connect this to, then you will probably have issues turning it on/off remotely. As a nice touch, I can independently name each of the two sockets in the app, and Alexa recognizes them automatically so I can turn them on/off separately with voice commands. Like I said, nice.

> 24 hourDoes exactly what we wanted, controls an outdoor bird fountain and this winter, Christmas lights, by voice so if we go to bed and had forgotten to turn them off, just a quick word to Alexa and done

> 24 hourFor years I have been using timers for my outdoor fountain and tree lights. They did the job but anytime I would need to change a setting, I would have to usually unplug it, bring it inside where I can see the tiny switches or numbers and then take it back outside. I’ve been using wifi outlets inside my home for several years now and have them on an easy to set up schedule. It never really crossed my mind that there could be an outdoor wifi outlet with 2 plugs. And then I stumbled across the Etekcity outdoor smart plug and thought I’d give it a shot. The setup was fairly simple. I’ve set up many of my indoor smart plugs so I was already familiar with the process. Even so, I had some minor difficulties getting this one going. Whenever I attempted to have it search for my wifi, I would get a “timed out” message. I was less than 10 feet from my wifi hub. After restarting the app, and maybe 10 tries later, I finally got it connected. I created 2 schedules. One for each plug. The process is similar to other wifi plugs with some minor differences but you can usually figure them out. Once I got the schedules set up, I waited to see if they worked. And so far it has worked flawlessly. Best of all, I can control everything from my phone which is very very convenient. I love this smart plug and would highly recommend it.

> 24 hourI used 2 of these units in my barn to turn fans on and off in the stalls. I also use other Etekcity smart plugs for turning on fans in my garage. I also use a couple of their smart light bulbs which work well. The only problem I with one of the plugs was taken care of by their Support group in a very timely manner. I am happy with their products and service.

> 24 hourWas looking for an outlet that would work with Alexa to turn on and off my backyard outdoor flood lights for when I would take my dogs out to go to the bathroom. It was very easy to set up and so far hasnt given me any problems connecting to Alexa even though this switch is plugged into the outlet in the garage behind my home and the router is located in the front of my house. I havent used the timer function and cannot really speak to its waterproofing as it is inside a covered garage but the device is very sturdy and comes with quality covers that I have no doubt would keep out any water that would threaten the electronics.
