> 3 dayI brought these to monitor freezer temps that we store food in as one of the freezers had been acting funny and we didn’t want to lose all the food if it died. Overall the device works great. However, battery life isn’t as advertised due to them not being shipped with lithium batteries that will live up to the advertised battery life. I brought 4 that had alkaline batteries and not lithium (makes a big difference when using in a freezer). Initially one sensor was intermittently reporting to the hub after less than 3 months. Customer support tried to tell me it was the signal, but the app said the signal was “good” and the other sensor was similar strength and not having any issues. Then the device dies, I replaced the batteries and everything is fine, the signal strength is not the issue. Customer support told me they would replace the devices, which sounds great, but they also told me they should have lithium batteries and would assure me the replacements would. When I received the replacements I checked and they had alkaline batteries too. I called them out on it and then they tell me the factory has a shortage of lithium batteries. I’ll try to cut to the chase here….the devices I received (8 in all, the original 4 plus 4 more in a replacement order) did not ship with the batteries needed to last the advertised 2 years. It feels to me like customer support tried to give me some bologna excuses on why there was issues, but come to find out they are shipping devices knowing full well the lithium batteries (which should last the 2 years) are not installed. Beware if you plan to use in a freezer or cold place, the alkaline batteries do not stand up the cold temps. Simple enough solution to replace with lithium batteries, for me the principal issue of not being shipped with the power to meet the advertised battery life, plus my dealings with customer support has left a sour taste in my mouth. I’d give 5 stars for the actual product with the lithium batteries.

> 3 dayI ordered the hub with 2 temperature sensors and ordered a third temperature monitor as we have 3 freezers wed like to manage. It took me a little bit to figure out how to set the settings to trigger an alert to my phone when the freezers hit a warmer temp but once I figured it out it was smooth sailing! We have 3 deep freezers and would be a bit devastated to not know a freezer failed before it was too late Our freezers are in a detached garage but we do have an ethernet cable in their so have the hub plugged in out there. So far these have been working great!!

Greater than one weekFirst, setup was very easy. After calibrating all of the sensors (I have 7 total) I put one in each room and one outside. I can now check the temperature in each room from anywhere. Theres only two issues Ive had so far. 1) after setting up the hub, it downloaded a couple hundred GB of data from the internet. I checked the firmware for all of the sensors and the hub but they were all up to date. Id like to know what all that data was for. 2) it works with Alexa... as long as you only want to know the temperature. It doesnt show the humidity and you cant use it as a trigger to turn on the dehumidifier when the basement humidity gets to 45% or to turn on the fan when the room gets to 74°F, for example.

> 3 dayExcellent range and performance. I had spent over $150 for another sensor and even bought a range extender to try to get temp from a freezer downstairs but it still couldnt pick up signal. Returned those items and ordered Smart Wireless Themometer and water sensor for much less money and was surprised to see that all those great reviews were correct. It has great range and works flawlessly. I even bout a second system for my second home. It even picked up the signal when I tried the sensor in my next door neighbors freezer. Both systems, plus 3 extra water sensor, were still cheaper than the orignal system and extender I had returned

18-11-2024This works well to monitor fridges or freezers. I set the range that I consider good and get alerted when it’s exceeded. Does exactly what I wanted as I don’t have to check on the freezer and can see temps and alerts even when not at home. The app could be much more intuitive than it is, but once you figure out where everything is, it’s fine.

> 3 dayBought to monitor the temperature of our pump house. A small cinder block building separate from the house. The sensor has no trouble staying connected to the hub inside the house. Battery lasts a little over a year, even in the remote building through multiple walls. I am very impressed.

Greater than one weekI dont write a lot of reviews, but this one deserves my time to do so. We have a freezer in our garage, and for whatever reason, the door has been left slightly ajar a few times. And there we are with probably $75 of food that probably should be thrown out. So I went looking for a solution to let me know when thats happened. The YoLink is working great, and has already notified me twice that the freezer door was ajar (temperature rising). Our network router sits in a closet in the middle of the house, and the YoLink hub is plugged directly into that with the supplied ethernet cable. Then the YoLink sensor is in the freezer. It has no problem connecting with the hub through 4 walls and the freezer door. My only outstanding question is whether the sensor batteries will last very long. But still this product is well worth the money spent.
