They weren’t too thick, I probably could’ve been fine with the thinner option, but as far as keeping my feet warm and wicking the sweat they did the job. A big difference from other socks. Have went back and bought this brand again and was still satisfied.

> 24 hourI’m a big smartwool fan. A pair of socks for every adventure. :) I like the crew height when wearing shorts and trail shoes to give my ankles some protection and keep out sand/dirt. These fit smaller at the ankle than darn good brand.
