> 24 hourA must-have soldering tip for routine rework of printed circuit boards. In addition, I would recommend the 1.2 mm tip and a micro-chisel for working with SMDs and small lead ICs. These chisels must be ordered separately from the Hakko soldering work station, but are necessary and have a long working life if treated properly. They are not cheap but you get what you pay for. When you want professional results, you need professional tools.

> 24 hourThese are genuine Hakko cartridges. Knock-offs just fail faster and are more inconsistent.

> 24 hourIts a soldering tip and does what it says on the tin... It gets hot and melts solder, what more could you ask for?

> 24 hourThis tip is perfect for general, commodity through-hole part soldering. It can be used for tinning related small wires and pads, and probably works okay for surface-mount as well (havent tried it). It seems to be not to big, not to small, and just the right amount of thermal-mass. The flat-part of the chisel is clearly visible, manufacturing and built-quality is top-notch. Highly recommended, may be the only tip youll ever need.
