> 24 hourIt didn’t have enough room and doesn’t have an extension. The additional mini case is good, but very awkward and hard to carry. Don’t recommend it for traveling if you have to walk through streets and a lot of airports.

> 24 hourUpon unpacking, I noticed a hole in the largest cases lining. It is caused by the gold-tone disk on the outside of the luggage poking through. The hole in the wrapping of the next smaller suitcase shows how much pressure came through the largest piece. I got 3 blue tags for a purple set of luggage. After 1 flight a wheel came off and got lost, the other purple circle on back if luggage was gone showing it was glued on.

> 24 hourI travel all over the globe, took chance on the pink( I did buy a see thru cover, because it is a beautiful made suitcase) for the price. You get many extras for inside the case for packing. But what impressed me was the workmenship and they spared no expense for the interior. Never owned such a beauty for travel and the price was actually one half what I useally pay for a suit case. Thanks to Amazon I did not have to go shopping to find what I love.

> 24 hourI got the black color because I don’t like to stand out too much, but those big gold spots on the black make it super easy to spot my luggage from a long way off. A huge time-saver, and if someone grabs it, I can see it from across the room. It’s very distinctive without being obnoxious or gaudy. I also like that it’s tough but very lightweight. That’s because the shells are made entirely of polypropylene. I prefer luggage made of polypropylene to ABS, or ABS/PC (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene/Polycarbonate), because those can be toxic if burned, are slightly heavier, and can be damaged by solvents and sunlight. Polypropylene has none of these weaknesses, and is a great combination of impact resistance, light weight, and low cost. Polycarbonate luggage is lightweight and strong, but scratches easily. ABS luggage is strong but it’s heavy and can crack. ABS/PC is very strong, but heavier. Each case in this set appears to be well made. The aluminum extension handles are 3 position, unlock and slide easily, and feel very sturdy. The wheels slide like they’re on ice, but time will tell if they can stand up to baggage handlers throwing it. There are TSA locks on all but the makeup case. Most people probably don’t know that sticking a pen or other pointy object into the zipper of any suitcase will open it in a second, and sliding the coupled zipper pulls will zip it back up. That’s how your “locked” luggage is opened and re-closed if you just zip-tie or lock together your pull tabs. But this luggage has a TSA lock, and the pull tabs are anchored into it. So if someone other than TSA opens it you’d know because they won’t be able to close it. That makes it less likely some unscrupulous person will open it. The handles are a flexible rubberized material that are spring-loaded, and retract flat when released. They feel sturdy, but like the wheels, time will tell if they survive. The case’s hinges are made of a flexible rubberized material, which seems to be common these days. I’ve seen this type of hinge on many other manufacturer’s high-end pieces, so I have no doubt it’s the latest and greatest. Inside, of all of the cases (including the makeup case) have the usual fabric linings, a zippered divider with a zippered storage area, and cross-pattern retention straps. Luggage tags are included. Everything you’d expect, and the quality seems good. The fabric cases that come with the set are also well-built and will definitely come in handy for dirty laundry, shoes, and lots of other stuff. I like to compartmentalize some items for myself, and electronics for TSA. That way if they think they see something questionable, they can check it out without ransacking all my carefully folded clothes. Pros - + Polypropylene hard shell is (in my opinion and many others’) the best material for luggage. + Distinctive round gold emblem makes your luggage easy to find in a crowd. + Very smooth wheels to push, or tip and pull your luggage effortlessly. + Top of the line YKK zippers. + Less than half the weight of my soft-sided luggage. + Everything nests into the one big case. Cons - - This set is not “expandable”, but most suitcases don’t expand enough to be useful anyway. - The gold emblems are only on the front. The back has circular spots, but they’re shiny black. (I might spray paint the rear emblem so it’s gold on both sides.) Bottom line – I think this luggage is a great buy, and as good as most costing 3 to 5 times as much. The only real difference in those is the “ten year” or “lifetime” warranty on some, allowing them to charge 3 to 5 times as much. This has a 5 year warranty, and I’m good with that. I hope this helps.
