SONY Cfexpress Tough Memory Card

I needed some serious storage for my Nikon Z7 which eats MBs for breakfast. I would constantly fill the 32 gb when out taking photos I wanted to do some timelapses and I knew that would not cut it. I bit the bullet on this because of the shipping. I was going on a trip in 3 days and needed fast deliver. This is horribly overpriced and not a good deal by any means. It was just a necessity. I really cant wait until the manufacturers start assigning logical prices for the consumers. Photography is already expensive as it is. It does what its supposed to do and havent had any issues. I did have to buy a new CFexpress card reader because the XQD readers will not register this card. Also, had to update the firmware on my camera so this card could be used. Overall, it works, but Im pissed that they charge so damn much for these things.

works great with the Canon EOS R5. fast enough to record 8k *if you have a computer that can handle 8k* I recommend getting the BlackJet thunderbolt 3 card reader.

Ich habe zwei dieser Speicherkarten für meine Nikon Z9 bestellt. Die Z9 schafft damit rd 70 Bilder im H* RAW Modus, was mir als Hochzeitsfotograf mehr als ausreichen würde. Geschwindigkeitstechisch schafft sie bei (am ehesten realistischen 64GB Daten) 924MB/s was schon ganz ordentlich ist (Testaufbau: ProGrade CFexpress Reader via USB-C an meinem 3.1 Port direkt am Motherboard mit entsprechend für 3.1 ausgelegten, kurzen Kabel). Im Vergleich dazu habe ich auch noch eine ProGrade Gold 128GB und eine Angelbird AV Pro SX160 Karte getestet. Die ProGrade war wirklich mies, die schaffte lediglich 150MB/s im Schnitt (bei max. angegeben 1400MB/s) und die Angelbird schaffte ähnlich viel wie die Sony, aber im Schitt ca. 10-20MB/s darunter. Da ich mich leider von einem schlecht recherchierten YouTube Video irreführen hab lassen, habe ich dann im Endeffekt die Sony Karten zurück geschickt und bin auf die Angelbird aufgrund vermeindlich noch schnelleren Schreibgeschwindigkeiten umgestiegen. Dem war jedoch nicht so. Für meine Anwendung aber noch immer mehr als ausreichend, dennoch würde ich beim nächsten Kauf definitiv die etwas günstigeren und zugleich etwas schnelleren Sony Tough Karten nehmen. Wenigstens hab ich hier in Österreich regional eingekauft, denn Angelbird kommt aus Vorarlberg. ;-)

I had another brand CFexpress card for the R5. And that thing did not work well at all... in fact it stops working pretty quickly. So I did some research and try the Sony Tough. Well, it does it was advertised. Fast as hell and no problem at all. Wish these cards arent so expensive, but thats the going rate and it is what it is.

This memory card meets my needs perfectly. It is extremely fast and reliable. I trust it to update my camera bodies and lens firmware, record my photos and transfer them to my computer for distribution.

I purchased the wrong item.

Works with my nikon d850 camera. But must have the update.

I used it for my R5 EOS and its teh one that can handle the speed needed for 8K.
