> 3 dayAfter reading review after review I finally purchased, don’t regret it. Spend 30 mins to familiarise with the app and it’s workings and a further 10 mins on Reddit for decent EQ settings and you are presented with a fantastic sound that makes great recordings come alive,

Greater than one weekFantastic noise cancellation, I was genuinely surprised at the quality. Comfortable to wear. The one downside is the colour is most definitely not ‘silver‘ and looks absolutely nothing like in the brand‘s product photos. I would say it’s taupe (grey/brown).

16-01-2025Twice as good as my Apple headphones and half the price. 100% worth getting!

> 3 dayUpdate: I have returned these to Amazon because the infrared sensor that pauses the music when you lift the earcup failed after 4 days. There is also an issue when walking if you dont get the ear cups placed exactly right, as you put your foot down with each step there is a thud in the corresponding ear. I did some research and others have experienced similar problems with most believing it to be related to the small size and shallow depth of the ear cups.

> 3 dayIve been using Sony headphones since the 1980s, particularly their excellent MDR-V6 model, and as they were so good I reasoned that with three-and-a-half decades of development, the WH-1000 XM4 would be at least as good, if not even better. Whereas the MDR-V6 is wired and therefore directly connects the drivers to the amplifier, I still didnt expect any wireless-induced losses from the XM4s as I already had a set of Apple Airpods Pro, which are astonishingly good and exhibit no such meaningful losses - surely the more expensive XM4s would be even better?
