Im not a computer guy, Im a music guy. I remember liking sound forge years ago, and hoped to use it again. However this product never worked. Said it had no internet when it did. I was able to do other things with the internet. Id mail it back for a refund, but I have MS and doing so is its own problem, and too much is expected to do something that should be simple. Its like seeing a doctor now. Legally by the book, seems legit, its his job. Expected to jump through hoops after my diagnosis however. When its hard to walk, thats asking a lot. Im dealing with this failure, and trying not to be as angry as I really am. Some pros.

I am very disappointed in my results from a very high quality Audio Fidelity record fro the 1960s. Despite using the 24 bit dynamic range setting, the music on the CD is well below the fullness and quality of the record. Plus, there is no information provided on how to record and get the best quality input . Should I be using the 32 bit option ? Should I be using the 44K option or one of the other nine choices. Is there anything else that would improve the quality of the recording ?

This program is not for the fainthearted and is not for the typical person who just want to burn a disc. This is a complicated program with many controls that are both satisfying and disappointing at the same time, most of the effects sound artificial and are time consuming to add to a recording.

I recently had a major computer crash that destroyed my hard drives. I lost everything I had ever put on my computer in the last 20 years (about 3 terabytes). I had been using Sound Forge 6, which worked fine. It is no longer available. So I came here to Amazon. I was worried about all the reviews about poor customer service from Magix (more about that later), but I needed the program so I settled on Sound Forge 10. When I put it on my computer, it didnt come all the way up and put me on a trial service. Every day when I opened it, a screen would come up giving me the option of buying the product or putting in my serial number. Every day I entered my serial number and every day It would send me back to trial. Eventually, my trial service ended and every time I opened it, it brought up the same screen, I would put in the serial number and nothing would happen. I uninstalled it twice and reinstalled it twice, so 3 attempts. I finally gave up and hit the buy button and was steered to Sound Forge 13. I bought and downloaded it, and it wouldnt open. So I contacted customer service (uh-oh) by email. They responded the next day to advise me I had put in the wrong serial number. I uninstalled it and downloaded it again and it works fine. I responded to their email to thank them.

I,ve had a copy of Sound Forge 9 for a long time and decided to try the Upgrade to SF 10. Im actually some what disappointed. It is very different and takes some getting used to. So far it seems to be missing some of the functions I had with SF 9.

Put disc in my windows 10 computer. Immendiatly was met with mutable errors. Not for a second gonna try and figure out why. This is a sham program from a sham company. RETURN!!! The end....
