Southwire KIT, T200K MULITPURPOSE TONE & PROBE

Works perfect, I love the convenience of the pouch/set up with different attachments for different applications. I do, however, wish it could test for continuity. I’m pleased with it myself as a low voltage technician that works on the big jobs here in Vegas!!

I use it for work reguarly and it works fine. Its compact with what you need and a solid price.

I like how compact this kit is. I dislike not having a headphone jack. Especially in loud server rooms. Used for toning out pre existing telecom lines.

Ive had it for a year and only broke the fuse piece. My fault. Worlds great!

It needs female-female connectors for LAN and coax. Other than that the product works great

I love the case and everything about this set! All the components fit together into a nice little belt-clipped case. Its very portable, and fits down into a backpack or toolbag with no issues. Im a little concerned about the longevity of the fairly thin adapters, so I might put some extra heat-shrink and hot glue over them for added rigidity. Other than that, its a fantastic set. Ive had multiple coworkers marvel over how compact it is!

This toner kit has everything you need to tone out wires. Very low on the frills list but more than you need. Well priced.

Product works and the convenience of the package is awesome. I dont carry it too often and feel the clip might break if you use it too often. I could be wrong. Good product, Im satisfied, it works as well as the 90$ toners and I can fit the whole thing on my belt when I need it.

I like the flexibility and attachments. Its just not strong enough. Especially on smaller wire like CAT wire. Its hard to hear at construction sites where there is a lot of noise. I dont think it would ever drive a speaker (a common test procedure in the AV industry). When you snap in the RJ11 the release is mostly covered so you have to use a finger nail to release it. Not a huge deal but odd they didnt turn the connector 180 degrees to make it easier to release.

I was very disappointed at first. I was trying to use this to find some cat 5 cables in our office, and I discovered I couldnt hear anything from the probe if I got more than a couple of feet down the cable. I wrote a bad review, then I thought to check the cat 5 connector for the tone generator. Turns out the RJ-11 plug that goes into the generator was not properly connected. After snipping it off and crimping on another connector, Ive got much better performance.
