After playing on my Series X and then going back to my Xbox One X showed me just how slow the Xbox One X is with a mechanical drive. I had to change the hard drive to an SSD because it was unbearable. This SSD is great for the price and fits perfectly. My Xbox One X boots and loads games so much faster! The console should have shipped with an SSD from the start because it really does the console justice. Now it loads games almost as fast as the Series X. Almost...... Get one if you have an old Xbox. You need this!

I bought this and 16GB of memory to update a Dell Latitude 5480 laptop for a friend. The change has been transformative -- it runs faster than ever! I matched this roughly to size of the existing hard drive, because the owner doesnt add a lot of software or store a large amount of music or video files. He was only using about 25% of the drives capacity, so purchasing this 512GB SSD seemed to be a prudent step. I inserted the unformatted drive into an external USB drive interface, and used Macrium Reflect Free to clone this disc from the one in the machine. (Doing this creates a bootable drive that only has to be swapped-out with the original hard disk -- easy-peasy!) It took less than an hour to do the cloning, and another 5 minutes to switch out the drives. It booted -- QUICKLY!!! -- the first time, and the combination of this SSD and the additional memory made for a snappy new computer for my friend at the cost of a little over $100 for the drive and memory, combined. Totally worth it!

Im a PC Builder for average home use. Ive been using these hard drives for a couple of years without incident. They are much faster than the old style disc hard drives. Theyre cheap enough for me to keep one as a spare.

Lots of instructions on the internet about how to replace the hard drive with this solid state drive in your PC, and it does seem to significantly improve performance, at least on my PC.

I bought this to replace a hard drive for my friend. I build him a desktop but he still made good use of this drive.

For what you pay for, its an excellent product, but after further investigation and getting my head on straight. I realized that my Samsung 860 Pro, actually blew this drive Silicon Power (128MB & 1TB) and a Crucial MX500 that I also purchased out of the water. While doing some initial side by side comparisons, Both the Silicon Power, Crucial MX500 & Samsung 860 Pro drives were relatively equal and I was surprised and happy with my new purchase(s). BTW, I still am happy, because in real world situations and for what I do, I dont personally notice the difference, BUT, for those that do... While initially testing, the Samsung only held a slightly better performance to both the Silicon Power and the Crutial MX500 drives, but then I realized that my main drive, the (Silicon Power) was on a faster Sata III connector, which initially I thought were all the same speed and when testing the Crucial MX500, it was also a clone of the (Silicon Power) main drive on the same faster Sata III Connector. So briefly, the Samsung 860 Pro was virtually equal to both the (Silicon Power) and the (Crucial MX500), while only on a Sata II connection and both the Crucial MX500 & Silicon Power were on the Sata III when doing my initial comparison. After realizing my mishap, I loaded the operating system onto the Samsung 860 Pro, which was the only way to fairly compare all three drives and this baby (The Samsung 860 Pro) cleaned house with read and write speeds that were stable and in the 425 - 450+ mbs range. So, without the photos handy, which I may provide at a later date. Its crucial to compare apples to apples and when buying a new drive, that is destined to be your main drive. Its highly probable that the newly acquired drive is on the faster of the available Sata ports and comparing to your old drive, may not be a fair comparison, which Im sure these manufacturers know all too well. Some EQUAL speed Sata ports would be nice from the motherboard manufacturers, which are still installing USB 2.0 ports on motherboards in 2021, which in my humble opinion is Ridiculous! Hopefully, this helps someone in making their decision and I still love my Silicon Power & Crucial MX500 drives, but now I really love my new Samsung 860 PRO...Just joking and to be quite frank, and throw a wrench in the mix here: I cant see the inner workings, for what I do, what its worth and what I personally noticed, the Crucial MX500 actually seemed to be the fastest of them all, when used as my main drive. It seemed the spunkiest with the least lag, but there are too many variables to weigh for each situation. Mine is some minor graphics, browsing the web with some Excel & Word products as well. If you got this far, Thank you for reading

Works great and loads fast. Some have said that you dont notice much of a difference in loading times between mechanical and SSD on the Playstation 2 but I do notice. It works great for this purpose.

I have purchased this SSD to replace an old failing HDD. It works wonders for old laptops that can only be upgraded with a SATA drive. As for the value I would say buy the 256Gb instead. I did not notice that the difference between the 2 was only $3 therefore I wouldnt recommend getting the 128Gb.

Ive perched several Silicon Power ssd drives in the past you get what you pay for the money their decent Im not sure the life expectancy so far no problems. I would not use them for a raid configuration or a nas configuration or server for a refurnished netbook, laptop, desktop their perfect for older ddr3 and ddr4 systems with Amd or Intel pcs or Linux.
