> 24 hourI have been using mine for at least 7 years or so now and its one of my favorite externals. I havent tested its durability to see if its shock or waterproof, and I dont tend to, but it has held up better than some of my other ones.

> 24 hourI was hesitant to buy this at first. Could not believe the size of the disk space for the low cost. I was glad to give them a chance, and I’m very happy with my external Hard drive.

> 24 hourGood product. I wish it was easier to save and load games however. Improvements can be made on both the Xbox and pc side of things, but the hard drive is simple. Gets the job done.

> 24 hourRunning as expected after 2 weeks of use. Have this plugged in to my main computer; synchronizes with another 1TB internal hard drive as a backup; this is the drive where I store media and archived files. The drive comes formatted as FAT or FAT32 which cant handle files larger than ~4GB. A quick NTFS format would be very quick. FYI it took a few hours for a *full* NTFS format. That isnt really necessary for the first format since its a new drive. I did it anyway. Took about 1 to 2 hours to fill it up with ~700GB of data from my internal drive. Search google for freefilesync for the free software to sync files easily. Be sure to uncheck the bloatware during the installation and youre good. This setup allows me to disconnect the external drive and basically have all my favorite stuff to take it to a friends house or to my office whenever I want. The cord-holding corners seem to work fine. I havent bought an extra carrying since its rated to be shock resistant. Im still wary of shock damage while transporting and stuff, but I feel a bit more confident in this design than a regular portable drive casing. Since its a similar price, I thought it would be worth it.

> 24 hourAt first I decided not to write a review because this kind of stuff usually comes and goes pretty quickly. But with weekly use, it has performed flawlessly! It has enough capacity for everything we need and use it on our ocean going sailboat in all kinds of crazy conditions. Thank you for making such a worthwhile product

> 24 hourMy initial impressions: -->(1)SPEED/Efficiency: in USB 2.0 is that this is a fast Fat32 drive - the fastest external Fat32 drive I have tried. Since NTFS is faster and better in most cases, I reformatted it to NTFS. It seemed to format faster than expected. Yes, in NTFS, this drive is even faster, so this is certainly recommended. As soon as I buy a USB 3.0 drive, I will try it in 3.0, and then it will really blaze. And, FWIW, this is a much faster way to do significant drive back up than using the cloud. -->(2) RUGGEDNESS: the rugged Armor shockproofing looks and sounds (from design and reviews) great! -->(3) WARRANTY: the 3 year warranty is proof that SP believes in this drive - so I will believe in it too. This is a great warranty for an external drive. Since Ive never had a portable external drive last 3 years (or even 2 - I carry them around a lot and seem to be too haphazzard with them), so I am excited. -->(4) AESTHETICS: Although I dont care much, others may. Despite being shockproofed, this is an attractive drive that looks more like a smart phone. For the aesthetically inclined, you could buy a matching color smart phone protective hard case. -->(5) PRICE: The price is very good. It is priced similarly to slower, non shock proofed drives shorter warrantied drives of the same capacity. CONCLUSION: I can give it my highest ever initial external drive rating!
