I really like how the cord can be attached to the body; I always lost it with my previous hard drive. Its very convenient. Storage capacity is great. I also like how I can just put it in my bag without worrying too much about anything messing up its structure. The reason I give it 4 stars is that its not USB 3.0. Its a lot slower. Mind you, its not so slow that it bothers me, but its definitely not 3.0. My previous hard drive was a Seagate (physical structure got dented easily), and that took less than a minute to copy 100 good quality pictures. This one takes 2-3 minutes for the same amount and quality. It doesnt bother me too much because Im patient and I value its physical lifespan a lot more. I want to save and keep my data. I would recommend this because thats my only gripe. The price is pretty nice, too.

I have one of these already and I do not remember the hassle I just had to go through to be able to use it. Finally on a review of a different brands hard drive I found instructions someone else posted: Open Disk Utilities. From the View menu, choose Show All Devices. Select WD Elements on the left side of the window. Right click and choose Erase from the pop-up menu. Create a name and choose Mac OS Extended (Journaled) assuming you have a current vision of OS-X. It will reformat the drive in about a minute. A simple note from the company or in the box as to how to format for a MAC would have been very helpful. I have two other hard drives that have stopped working and my other SP is still in great condition, so if you can figure out how to use it with your MAC it would be worth it.

I bought this for my son’s Xbox, and it is so user friendly that even I can figure it out! You just plug it in and it automatically detects it and you can start loading games or files on it! Definitely great value for the cost!

The drive seems ok so far, however, Im very disappointed that it did not come with two cables as shown in the picture and listing. Instead, It came with one USB 3.0 cable and a cheap USB-3 to USB-C adaptor, which is weak and wont maintain a signal if I move my laptop and hard drive. I will have to purchase a new cable to be able to use this directly with my Macbook.

It only took two days to get the drive to show up. I tried messaging the manufacturer sent them all my pictures of Proof (when they messaged me back at 2 AM) showing that it wasnt showing up. They didnt responded until I said it was JUNK - thats why they didnt reply. I tried One more time on my own its showing up - lets see what happens. Oh and as you can see it is NOT 2T its only 1.81 T. False advertising.

After loosing one drive (encrypted) and dropping another I got this to backup my MBP. Works as advertised and I feel confident about if I mishandle this one. The color also is easy to see and find and just so happens to match my Laptop bag. Good value for what you get.

I love the 2TB Hard Drive. Its Scratch/Impact resistant and it comes with build in rubber impact protection.

I really enjoyed this hard drive, until it stopped working after 2.5 years. My computers can no longer read the hard drive and it makes a sound.
