> 3 dayIn the last 12 years, I have bought more than 5 hard drives from different brands non-one of them have satisfied me and give peace of mind to issuer the hard drive will not broken after multiple of use. However, one of my electrical engineering friends have recommended to me if you need to buy any hard drive from excellent brand buy one of Silicon Power products and see. In 2015, I was searching in Amazon for hard drive to replace one of my hard drives then I remembered my friend recommendation so I looked at all Silicon Power products and decided to buy Armor A30. For 3 years of using it was amazing product from the design, performance, quality, efficiently and the peace of mind. Now, when I searching for hard drive first thing come into my mind this brand and I recommend it to my family and my friend even to you whom searching for this product. Buy it and give a shot then you will decided as me that this brand is the number one for spot to search and buy hard drives and even more.

> 3 dayWhen I received this product and plugged it in, my it said there was an error on the drive and I had to have my computer fix it before I could use it. I stored about 16 GB on this 1 TB drive before I went to bed. When I turned on my computer the next day, the drive said it only had 32 GB of space on it. I erased everything on it and it still said 32 GB. I rebooted my computer and nothing changed. There is no way to reset the drive. Physically or electronically, so I had to call for a replacement. The device gives me an error message every time I try to do anything. If it continues, I will just have to send it back with the old one. I will have to put in for a refund. The device keeps disconnecting and reconnecting just like thew first one did. I also keeps giving me an error when ever I try to do something. Error when I move files to it, error when I move file from it, error when I try to watch a 24 Anime that I finally got on the drive. This is the worse hardware I have ever encountered and I have been making PCs and programming them since 1985.

> 3 dayI like everything about this Silicon Power 2TB USB HD, except the way too short USB cable. In my experience, built on over 30 clients who have purchased Silicon Power USB backup drives (not this newer model) we had not had a single failure. With other brands such as Seagate, or Western Digital, or some other brands, failures have have happened. What I dislike especially about two brands mentioned is that many of them do not used standard SATA connectors internally. This means that if the USB board breaks down, but the HD itself is fine, it becomes near impossible to recover the data. With some older drives of this type I have rescued data by simply opening the case removing the HD and using a USB Dock station to connect the HD to a computer to copy the data, or by using a USB case. Worse yet some of the new USB backup drive cases are nearly impossible to open without destroying the case. Obviously, the designers of these USB backup drives never get feedback from computer repair people, or if they do they fail to pay any attention to them. Sadly, this is too often true of the computer industry. Quality control has vastly declined from motherboards, HD, and just about everything else. In my 30 plus years of experience only CPUs have stayed incredibly reliable.

27-11-2024After loosing one drive (encrypted) and dropping another I got this to backup my MBP. Works as advertised and I feel confident about if I mishandle this one. The color also is easy to see and find and just so happens to match my Laptop bag. Good value for what you get.

> 3 dayI had bought one of these drives and had to buy a second one after the 1st one fell. The case fell apart but years later all taped up the drive is still working.

> 3 dayI bought this product in 2018 for my PS4 for more room that I can store some of my games. It has never failed me at all. It was very easy to setup when I plugged into my PS4, and after all these years it still works wonderfully to this day. I even tried hooking this up to my PS5, and it recognized it right away with all of the games already installed on the hard drive.

> 3 dayI really like how the cord can be attached to the body; I always lost it with my previous hard drive. Its very convenient. Storage capacity is great. I also like how I can just put it in my bag without worrying too much about anything messing up its structure. The reason I give it 4 stars is that its not USB 3.0. Its a lot slower. Mind you, its not so slow that it bothers me, but its definitely not 3.0. My previous hard drive was a Seagate (physical structure got dented easily), and that took less than a minute to copy 100 good quality pictures. This one takes 2-3 minutes for the same amount and quality. It doesnt bother me too much because Im patient and I value its physical lifespan a lot more. I want to save and keep my data. I would recommend this because thats my only gripe. The price is pretty nice, too.

> 3 dayMuch good, little confusing to set up first time you plug it in you have to plug the cord into the device you are using it with then into the hard drive.
