> 3 dayThis is a heavy duty rubber roller that seems like it will last for quite sometime. I use it for putting down dyna mat for sound reduction in my VW and it works great.

Greater than one weekTop of the line Brayer for use with granite surface plates. Works amazingly well! Very smooth and provides excellent coverage of Prussian blue without needing excessive pressure. I tried using the Ranger Inky Roller - also sold on Amazon - and it didnt work nearly as well (the roller was too hard and it also had a bad habit for coming apart during use). I ended up returning the Ranger one and ordered this Speedball one instead. The Speedball is head and shoulders better and if you are using it for inking block or surface plates, this is definitely the one you want. I, myself, bought the 4 one, but Im tempted to pickup the 6 also.

> 3 dayI am using this brayer to spread acrylic paint on a gelli plate. It is working quite well doing that. I chose the soft rubber brayer rather than the hard rubber because another reviewer suggested that. Therefore I am not familiar with the hard rubber, but the soft one is not as soft as I had thought it was going to be. Like I am pretty sure this brayer is going to hold up just fine over time. The brayer spreads the acrylic paint out on the gelli plate very nicely, smoothing the paint out into an even layer. Then the idea is to use various tools (most home made) to make a design in the paint. The last step is to place a piece of paper to cover the gelli plate and I just ran my hands over the back of the paper. Then lift the paper off and lay it out paint side up to dry. Voila! If you need instruction on how to make a gelli plate, I just got my instructions from YouTube (it used lots of gelatin, rubbing alcohol, water and glycerin).
