> 3 dayBought this for a printmaking class I was taking last semester. I ended up really liking linocutting so I bought this for myself considering this is the kind we were using at school. I love the little storage compartment it has on the handle and all the different sized blades it comes with. It’s great for anyone wanting to start out without spending a ton on a better set. Mine started rust a bit after only a few month but it still cuts just fine.

> 3 dayThis is the best set of Lino cutters out there. I have been using Speedball products for over 25 years. The cutter is easy to hold and easy to use. While I am not a beginner, my grandson is. We have a lot of fun cutting, then printing our “masterpieces”!

> 3 dayLighter than expected and wasn’t expecting the nibs to come inside of the handle instead of separately packaged, no padding for the product only free flowing in the box however this does not to seem to have affected it in the slightest

18-11-2024I used this in college in my printmaking class. They are a great beginner tool and can do a lot. I have re-purchased this multiple times... I keep loosing them. I also have bought a few as gifts for friends to try out printmaking.

> 3 day1. No instructions included with the tool. Had to go find YouTube videos. 2. Takes a LOT of juggling, wiggling, pushing, and pulling to get the cutter nibs seated in the adjustable head. Also a lot of the same to get them out. Since the cutters are razor sharp, this means a high risk of getting injured while trying to install or remove them. If your hand slips while youre trying to remove a cutter, hope you have bandages handy! 3. Once you have the thing assembled, its pretty easy to use. Cuts the rubber/lino well, but in my opinion the aggravation of having to wrestle with the thing every time I want to change the cutting nib outweighs the ease of use. 4. When youre doing any sort of art project, you get in a groove and you just want to go once your ideas are flowing. Having to work with persnickety art tools ruins the experience and gets you out of the mood to finish the project. Final thoughts: Im just going to buy a set of separate cutting tools, so that I can quickly pick up and put them down as I need them - it will cut my project time in half!
