This is my go-to tool for pumpkin carving. Ive won three contests with it. For the price, you cant beat the size assortment of cutters here, and the ability to store them all inside the handle is very useful. The blades attach to the grip very well, and do not wiggle or slip when using this tool.

    1. No instructions included with the tool. Had to go find YouTube videos. 2. Takes a LOT of juggling, wiggling, pushing, and pulling to get the cutter nibs seated in the adjustable head. Also a lot of the same to get them out. Since the cutters are razor sharp, this means a high risk of getting injured while trying to install or remove them. If your hand slips while youre trying to remove a cutter, hope you have bandages handy! 3. Once you have the thing assembled, its pretty easy to use. Cuts the rubber/lino well, but in my opinion the aggravation of having to wrestle with the thing every time I want to change the cutting nib outweighs the ease of use. 4. When youre doing any sort of art project, you get in a groove and you just want to go once your ideas are flowing. Having to work with persnickety art tools ruins the experience and gets you out of the mood to finish the project. Final thoughts: Im just going to buy a set of separate cutting tools, so that I can quickly pick up and put them down as I need them - it will cut my project time in half!

Super fast shipping for Uber-sharp tools. Simple, relatively easy to use (if you know what youre doing!) with a wide selection of carving nibs, this is a must have for Art. I bought these for my daughter, who is an AP Art student in high school, and she made the most incredible block print out of a linoleum tile! They didnt teach that to me in high school! She was very pleased with the tool set, so I highly recommend it to you!

Ive only used Speedball carving tools, and Ive loved my set (its lasted almost 20 years!). Ive worn everything out, so I needed a new set. My craft store only had an off brand, and they were terrible. So I ordered a trusty Speedball set. I was so excited to open up the box, put my new nib into the handle, and expected it to cut into carving like the material was made of butter. Thats not how it went. I had to screw the nib holder COMPLETELY off before I could place the nib in. Highly inconvenient and time consuming. Once I finally got that worked out, I got excited to carve again. I put the nib to the carving material and gave it a gentle push. Nothing happened. I pushed a bit harder, and even harder. Nothing happened! I had to use a dangerous amount of force to get the nib to carve, so I was left with almost zero control. I started examining the nibs closely, and they all had sharp burrs and almost nicked edges. So disappointed! Returned. Going back to my old, dull set because theres nothing comparable out there. Sigh.

This tool is exactly what is needed for block printing with rubber stamp pads. The extra blades hang out inside a compartment in the handle, and they are easy to change out. Although I would recommend buying 2 do you dont have to change them out as often for different sizes. The blades slide easily and smoothly through the rubber.

The best tool for beginners. Light weight and easy to use. You will love it.

These were purchased for my girl scouts to make stamps for letterboxing. The tool is so easy to use. The ease of placing the attachments on the handle are great. Having different sizes for the stamp carving makes it so worth the buy. Highly recommend.

I got this to try and carve out the foam of a craft pumpkin so light would shine through without actually cutting through it. Not sure if the foam cured itself after I got the outside off, or if this thing is just super dull, but it didnt do what I needed it to do. Im sure it works for its intended purpose.

A nice set to use on Speedball carving blocks, however Id like to have those blades sharper than they are. Minus one star for the blade stuck in the socket. It took me a lot of time and nerve to remove it without breaking the cutter and cutting myself.
