The size is just too big, do not expect you can just toss it in your small backpack and travel around, you will probably will be carrying it in your hand. Having said that, it offers enough space to store all the things that you would be throwing in your backpack separately in one convenient, secure and sturdy case; in my case when I go visit on the weekends instead of bringing my backpack I can just carry this case with everything I need and know it will be secure and handy. For the price and quality I recommend buying it but again let me reiterate that this is bigger than you expect it to be.

Its a bit pricy and big but the material and quality is really good. I like how much spacing and storage there is for any extra accessories as I was able to fit a Logitech Pebble mouse, 3 port USB C charger, HDMI and USB C cable, and lastly a foldable Bluetooth keyboard. Sadly there are no designated pockets/holders for SD cards but you can probably get a small case for that and store it with everything else. I definitely recommend this travel case for anyone with a Steam Deck!

So the case it self works great for my steam deck and even fits my Dbrand Killswitch case in it with some modifications. But what’s with the smell?!?! It had this odor of chemicals and rotten fish. After letting it air out the smell isn’t as strong but what’s up with that? Is it toxic? Should I be touching the case with bare hands? I’m glad my steam deck fits because it’s hard to find a case that’ll work with the Killswitch but dang what’s with the smell?

    Greater than one week

We all know Spigen is a reputable brand when it comes to smartphone cases and other accessories. This is no different, it provides great protection to your Steam Deck & has a compartment in the bottom to house your charger, or BT earbuds — it is however an absolute unit so if you prefer the travel size of the case provided by Valve you might wanna look elsewhere.

Case works great and gives me room to store my extra steam deck accessories. Only issue I have is the steam deck is a tad bit smaller than the area the steam deck sits in.

First off, this thing is CHONKY. When I first opened the box, I was surprised at the sheer size of it. I debated returning based on size alone since I purchased this to be my travel setup. But after looking it over and inspecting the design and materials, I had no option but to keep it. Shell looks and feels fantastic. The top does have a little give due to the cavernous storage space on the inside. One dislike, though: the central strap does hold the SD in place, but tilting it side to side does cause the SD to shift and bump into the molding of the case - you can hear and feel it when it does this. My guess is they over approximated the handheld molding to accommodate grip cases, which is something a LOT of case manufacturers fail to do. I needed a push to buy a grip case anyway. Storage space above the Deck as mentioned before is pretty cavernous. I initially had reservations about it being directly above the Deck, but the netting is doubled up, leaving only a little give from a heavy load. I put my external battery,(Insignia 80W 26,800 mah) some cables, and polish cloth in there with tons of room to spare. The netting also had little give with the battery in there. Since Ill be traveling with this stored on its side, I dont see much issue with it. The storage space under the Deck is also a nice touch. It wont quite fit the standard charger, but I ordered the 45W Samsung travel charger, which should fit just fine. Another weird upside: due to its more forgiving molding design, its pretty easy to rotate the SD in the case and charge it while zipped up. The strap is also a point of contention for the case. The strap itself is rigid with little give - which is good - and lined in a nice microfiber fabric. The lash point on the case is a nice Spigen branded metal buckle that feels incredibly secure in use. I dont really use the strap on my original case, so this wasnt a selling point for me. However, I could see it being pretty reliable for someone on the fence about it being anchored on the corner of the case. Overall, I really like this chonky boi. Im a sucker for little details and even down to the little YKK zips are Spigen branded. Comparing this to the Valve case is a night and day difference. This has that premium look that really compliments the SD. If you can look beyond the size, its an absolutely fantastic case.

I really like this case and it fits my steam deck the the unicorn nettle pro case pretty good but it came with a very bad smell. It smelled like a used book in a bad way

    A little bulky

Great case that gives you peace of mind when carrying this big device around. Plenty of space for earbuds, additional chargers, power banks and storage. Keep in mind this is alot bigger than what steam shipped, however if you can overlook the bulk, this should definitely be on you top priority list to buy.

It’s good overall, My biggest downside is that the lettering on the outside of the case wear out really easily, I’ve took care and I’ve only had it for a month and the “n” in the Spigen logo already fell. Also take in mind it is significantly larger than the stock steam deck case and may be too big for preference, I’ve gotten used to it.
