They break so easily, the metal used is flexible enough to bend but rigid enough to shear when bent. It basically breaks as soon as you use it

I got these in the hopes of making it easier to break down calcium inside certain pipe junction points. The brushes do their job dont get me wrong but the bristles break off very easily. Dont expect them to last more than two or three jobs.

The set of 6 at less than $2 each is a great value for the work they provide. The caliper pins of my car brakes rusted into their bore holes which needed serious restoration once I got the pins removed. These bore brushes worked perfectly to clean out the holes and remove all the rust. I broke one in the process which seemed a bit odd but for <$2, it was still money well spent.

No idea how this has 4 stars. Bad quality. Do not recommend.

I could not tell from the photo(s) in the ad, but these brushes turned out to be very durable! I had 200,000-mile rust in the four holes to recive trailer hitch securing bolts. My heaviest tool was a right-sized tap, which I operated alternately with fingers, vise-grip, and 3/8 variable speed drill. Between efforts with the tap I ran in PB Blaster, let it sit, then bore-brushed each hole. The durability and length of these brushes were essential in the cleaning process between borings with the tap. Probably a total time of 4 hours -- lots of false starts in the first 2-1/2 hours; only an hour-and-a-half, once I had these brushes on the job! Now they are cleaned and packed away for whatever the next rehab project will be:)

I bought the variety pack, hoping to use one of them to clean out a gap between two sheet metal panels on an old car to get ready for welding. The bristles are weak and folded over very quickly so as to be useless for that. I went back to one of my other wire rotary brushes which can stand up to use on sheet metal. These dont.
