USA carpenter here. Finish work and cabinet making is much easier with a metric tape. Finer scale, greater precision. Also much easier to perform arithmetic with decimal measurements instead of fractions.

I was glad to finally get my hands on a metric tape measure. Its unbelievable to me how difficult it is to find metric tools in the United States.

I love this retractable metric only measuring tape

Im a contractor so I use this take measure all day, every day. I make hundreds of measurements a day with this tape. It is a well built tape measure. It is really nice because it is a metric only tape measure so all the lines are easily visible compared to the tape measures that had metric and Imperial on them. The United States is the only big country still using the weird Imperial measurement system. Seriously we need to get on board with the rest of the entire world and use the metric system which is such an easier way to measure things. Sorry about the rant. This is a good quality tape measure but Im giving it 4 stars because it isnt as smooth of a tape pullout and retract as the Milwaukee Stud 5M tape measure I have.

Good tape as i learn the metric system,plus it is a Stanley.I just wished that they make one like this people that are left handed,because i truly love this tape.

last one lasted 4 years in harsh environment even when dropped from 4 feet to a concrete floor multiple times {on accident} it still worked great these FAtmax tapes are very worth the money

YAY METRIC!

They had to ship this to me from Germany. The package was open on both ends and when I picked it up, the tape fell out. Traveled a third of the way around the world like that. And people complain about the mails.
