Only tape measures I buy. Needed metric in the states. Couldnt even order it through the Stanley rep here. This UK seller got it to me quickly, especially considering customs.

USA carpenter here. Finish work and cabinet making is much easier with a metric tape. Finer scale, greater precision. Also much easier to perform arithmetic with decimal measurements instead of fractions.
