Overall, this is a solid 6U rack, but there are some definite issues if you attach it to a wall. 1. The screws and wall anchors are a disaster waiting to happen. Theres no way that it will hold for a long period of time. You will need to use your own screws, preferably 2 wood screws and will need to drill directly into the stud. If you dont have studs around the area, then you will need to put some backing boards and will need to install into those. Not the prettiest if it is being installed outside of a closet, but the artwork should be left up to you. 2. There is only enough screws to install 3 units. Why? Why would I not be provided with the full 24 screws needed instead of just 12. Horrible. Decking an entire star because of this nonsense.

So the material is pretty sturdy like most people have said but not sure it was mentioned anywhere it only comes with 12 screws for a 6u case so unless your mounting things that only require one screw per side you will come up 12 screws short so pick up some M6 cabinet hardware. Also there is a cross bar in the top of the shelf so the top 1u is best used for a patch panel of something super small.

I had another, bigger rack that was sticking out too far in my basement storage room. This one has sides on it, where the other rack was wide open. The only holding it back from 5 stars is the price. Its a piece of formed/bent metal with holes in the front for your switches and patch panels. It might cost $40 to actually make it.

I had read other reviews, saw some of my same componentsin this case and took the leap. I am glad did. Everything just seems to go together and its the perfect size. I didnt mount it to the wall, I just set it on top of my 3 shelf Carson bookshelf and the depth of the bookshelf and this rack are perfect. Nice! Update: So I think Im through. Loved this 6U that I actually upgraded to the 8U. Reason? To house my new 8 bay QNAP NAS. RIght amount of depth and still gives me the look I was aiming for. Has same base demensions as the 6U. Love It!!!

This is a good solid 6U rack for the money. Im a novice when it comes to network devices, but installing my equipment in this rack looks professional and clean.
