Black Dragon Kalameet is a fairly middle of the road mega boss expansion. Cool extra-large map tile, detailed and easy to assemble miniature (mine didnt need shaving or glue), fun level 4 encounters to challenge your party, and a final boss with a ton of health and a variety of attacks that mimic the fight in the game. If this is the only mega boss you buy, you will be happy: its a sweet dragon mini that you can use in any fantasy game, and an epic conclusion to your game of Dark Souls. However, the design makes some missteps. Kalameet is so tanky that he doesnt hit very hard, making the fight a 45-minute slog where you roll dice to block 20 times, instead of a tense puzzle or a desperate race against time or a heroic battle The new Calamity status punishes dodging more than blocking, which is the exact opposite of what it should do; Kalameet is the boss most likely to be dodged instead of blocked in the video game. The boss has so many fire breath attacks that cover so much of the map that its essentially random, taking some of the fun out of the games core mechanic of learn the attack patterns and use them against the boss. 3 stars as a game expansion, plus 1 star for having a sweet, universally applicable mini that ports over to D&D with no effort.

Aside from the obvious issues like the pastic horns warping a heat gun or hair dryer just warm it up bend it in shape and let it cool down. I was impressed how awesome the figure is one of the wings was hard to snap in place they dont line up 100% but I may use some kind of fill puddy before I paint it

This mini was everything i wanted and more

Honestly, Im mostly leaving this review because... I had to leave a 1-star review on the Asylum Demon expansion for this game (the hammer came broken three times, I ended up giving up on a replacement and will try to glue it). To balance it out, I wanted to leave this 5-star review, because I love the game and I love the company. SFG does such a great job on all of their games, both in the fun of the mechanics as well as *generally* the model quality for the given price. I certainly had no complaints with this one.

Bought this for my son as a gift. Was very happy.

Wings do not fit in very well require being shaved down at the joints. Horns came bent in a figure 8 as well.
