This Push Around Buggy is excellent! My daughter absolutely loves it! The little storage compartment in the front is also handy for keeping her snacks and drink when we go for a walk. The buggy is easy to push and the handle is high enough that I do not have to lean down to push her (I am 61) The only two small points that I would change are : 1) The handle is non-detachable. Meaning, it was not intended to be removed once you put it in place (This is stated very clearly in the product manual). This can be a problem if you want to take the buggy to a park and need to load the buggy in the car to do so. I always take a small spanner with me so I can tighten and take off the small bolt that keeps the handle in place. This is not ideal, but I would rather take my daughter for a walk in the park, than near a busy road. 2) The steering wheel is a little difficult to turn for my 18 month old. While it does not control the direction of the buggy, she does like to turn it, but it has significant resistance. Not a big issue at all, but a suggestion for a minor improvement. Overall, this product is excellent. I highly recommend.

I purchased the Step2 Push Around Buggy in Pink as a birthday present for my 1 year old niece. But I have the nearly identical Step2 buggy in red for my 15 month old son. This buggy quickly became a household favorite for short to medium range walks around our neighborhood and parks. A few problems keep it from being an automatic recommendation. -------------------- ASSEMBLY: Assembling the Step2 buggy is a bit more involved than you may initially be thinking. Youll need at a minimum a hammer and Phillips screwdriver. Preferably youll want to have a wooden block or something similar to assist in getting the locking wheel-nuts on. The long handle secures via a long screw and lug-nut. Youll ideally have a Phillips screwdriver and pair of pliers to make that job easier. The last job is applying the sticker-decals to the frame of the buggy. All in all assembly isnt too bad; my installation was straightforward without any issues. -------------------- USE: First, I have to say that my son absolutely loves this buggy. The sides are open allowing him to reach out and touch flower and things on our walks/adventures. He loves the horn on the steering wheel and the ability to look around more freely than in our stroller. My feelings on the product are a bit more mixed. There are a few issues that need to be addressed by the manufacturer. First, the well-documented steering column issues. The steering column secures under the hood with a plastic locking fasteners (built into the steering column) onto a plastic bracket that is fitted under the front hood. I had no issue with my sons Step2 buggy until after a few months of use. Now the steering wheel keeps popping off and the locking fasteners are worn. That means that the steering wheel assembly completely comes off if he pulls on it. That does not impact the performance of the buggy as the steering wheel is only for entertainment (i.e. doesnt control the front wheels). Unfortunately the buggy I gifted to my niece has problems with the steering columns out of the box. Whenever Ive attempted to snap the steering column to the plastic bracket the locking fasteners simply pop loose. Another aspect that Im not a big fan of is the loud and somewhat jarring ride this buggy offers. This is due to two factors; the hard plastic wheels and the fact that this buggy offers no type of suspension to soften the ride. If youre luck enough to have a smooth flat surface then the ride on this buggy will be just fine. My neighborhood is a bit older and has a lot of bumps on sidewalks and streets. Because of that I tend to limit the walks I take my son on or avoid certain routes altogether. Lastly, transportation can be a bit of an issue. This is primarily due to the fact that the handle is not adjustable in any way. This makes the buggy simply too tall to fit in my wifes SUV. The handle is easy enough to remove... with tools, however, not exactly convenient. -------------------- THE GOOD: (+) Kids love it! The Step2 is definitely my sons favored mode of transportation. (+) Incredibly easy to push around thanks to the handle. My wife (54) and I (510) both find the handle is in the right spot for pushing the buggy (and our son) around. (+) Seat belt is included. Keeps our little guy in the buggy. -------------------- WHAT COULD BE BETTER: (-) The steering column needs to be redesigned. The Amazon product page mentions this product is celebrating its 10th anniversary; theres no reason this component should be so problematic at this point. (-) The ride can be extremely rough and jarring. Hard plastic wheels and no type of shock absorption are present. (-) Transportation can be tricky because of the tall, nonadjustable handle. -------------------- CONCLUSION: The Step2 buggy is definitely a kid favorite, but persistent problems with the steering column, and inconvenient handle keep this from being a favorite with parents. Recommended with caveats.

Like that it is easy to push child. What I dont like is that the straps do not secure the child in the car -- they can easy lean over and touch the ground.

Great indoor and outdoor riding car for my 15 month old granddaughter.

This was my 1yr old daughters favorite birthday present. You can buckle them in. She asks to be pushed around in this every single day. Great buy!

I purchased this for my 2 year old grandson. Prior to this option it was hard transitioning from the car to the house or other errands. Now he is excited to get in and out car and ready to go on any errand. I feel safer with him in stores on his on riding vehicle as opposed to using one other kids have been on during Covid. He loves feeling in control.

My 12 month old granddaughter loooooves riding in her car as well as pushing it which has helped with her balance and learning to walk and coordination. She loves that it is car and has the best time turning the steering wheel and honking the horn. I am 5’7” and the handle is perfect for me to push her around with reaching too high or too low. It is sturdy and easy to put together. I bought two one for her house and one for my house. Best investment! In a few months she will probably be too big for it but believe she will still love to push it around with her toys in it.

Best first bike for your baby/toddler

I called Step 2 twice trying to get the correct hardware. Each time a very nice person said they would first send me an email to start the process and the second time I called said they would send out the hardware that day and overnight it by fedex. Neither person followed through and got us what we needed. I still cannot use the car. (I had a car from when my children were little and loved it. I am so disappointed.)
