I put this together myself in about an hour. I’m sure for others it’ll be a LOT less, but I’m BAD with these things. That being said I was able to actually do it myself. Instructions were clear. I saw a few people say the wheel fell off. I can understand how. The wheel assembles to the axel by way of a plastic cap with a metal ring. The ring is too big and you need to hammer the metal bar into the metal to make it fit. I had to try a few times to get it on straight. When you do that part make sure it’s on straight and pull on it to make sure it’s secure. If it’s not the wheel will easily pop off. That was the worst part. The rest was a breeze. Took it out for a run and my kid loves it. It handles just as easily as a stroller and I was able to take it up and down curbs and turn with no issue. My son is a big 17 months at 30 lbs and he has lots of leg room and seat space. I was worried because he’s big, but non issue. The cup holder doesn’t work well but I was able to secure my stroller organizer bag to the handle. Def an option if you carry your phone etc. you can get those bags on amazon for 10 dollars. In all very happy with this purchase. Step 2 stuff is built to last and while expensive at first it’s worth it.

I will never buy a Step 2 product again. All the snapping and screwing into plastic is ridiculous. Most of the time the holes don’t line up and it take pure luck for it to snap in correctly.

My 2 1/2 year old grandson loves riding in this. He wants to go out everyday in it. Nothing really keeps his intetest for long but this is something he is totally into. It rides easily over every surface. Easy to steer.

Last summer when my son was one he would try to car jack other kids and take their push cars. Even though he has a Smart Trike, 3 strollers, and countless other scooters and balance bikes, he was obsessed with the cars. I held off as most kids in the neighborhood have the red step 2 push around buggy - it didnt seem well made or comfortable to push for the parent. It also had weight and height limits that my tall son would quickly grow out of. Well fast forward to this summer, he turned 2 and was still obsessed. I began doing research and saw that this version allowed for kids up to age 4 and seemed to have a better ride for the toddler and parent. I have been watching the parent email groups in my town as people often sell toys as their kids outgrow them (we are in a city where storage is at a premium). These seemed to sell for more than half of list price even when a few years old and always sold within a few hours of being posted. So I gave in and ordered it and am glad that I did. I have had people stop me on the street and say they heard my son laughing from the other end of the block. He LOVES this car. He insists on joining us every time we walk the dog around the block and has been known to bring it into the house, park it in the living room and then sit in it to play with his toys and books. If you are trying to decide if it is worth it - order it already! Your kid will love it and you can resell it for at least half of when you pay when they are done with it.

Cup holder in handle is useless. It only holds cans --definitely won’t hold any regular refillable water bottle. I had a half full can of seltzer and it still splashed everywhere when I went over a crease in the sidewalk. Not a bump, a crease. It splashed all over the handle, back of the car, and my sons back. Grrr. So now I have to find some sort of accessory to hold my water on our long walks. The front cup holders are nice for a regular sippy cup but nothing too tall or wide or with handles. Besides the cup holders, this is a great little car. The wheels have a thin rubber coating so it’s not horribly loud while rolling down the sidewalk and the handle folds under nicely. I did think I’d fold the handle down between rides but it’s a a lot of turning the knob so will probably only fold it for out of season storage.

This was miss difficult to assemble then lead to believe but once assembled feels sturdy. The stickers didn’t peel off easily and most ended up tearing. I tried aligning the pieces to accomplish desired look which was ok but that was disappointing. We will see how it goes on our first walk. Sturdy and seat belt most important and access to the little storage good

My grand baby loves her little ride. Plenty of room for her and her doll baby. She likes beeping the horn and she is so excited every time we take a walk around the block for our stroll. My son in law had the car put together in less than 20 minutes. Definitely a great buy.
