There are plastic protective covers on the spokes of the umbrella and also inside along normal pinch points. I would purchase this again.

Greater than one weekThis childs umbrella is very nice. It appears to be made well and goes up and down easily. There are no pokey parts and the tag says it meets or exceeds all child safety standards! My 3 year old granddaughter is so excited to come to Nanas and use her new umbrella for rain or excessive sun. It is lovely!

Greater than one weekThis umbrella is very very cute! It looks just like the picture and is pretty easy for my 3 year olds tiny hands to hold. The little ears on top add a run touch , and has helped making going out in the rain it’s own little adventure because it’s almost like she’s going out with a toy in stead of just a regular umbrella
