> 3 dayIf you plan to use this as a concept sketch pad, go for it. If you plan to do lots of layering in your CP work, Id stay away. Its heavy paper, but it does not lend itself well to layering and the use of solvents. Im just using it for a sketchpad. Edit 6-22-16: If you plan to do burnishing and not excessive layering with solvents, you CAN actually accomplish a finished piece on this paper. But its still only going to be a concept pad for me.

> 3 dayThis paper is absolutely perfect for colored pencils! I am accustomed to using Borden & Riley paper, so I had high standards already. When I could not find the B&R pad, I chose Strathmore 400. Oh my goodness, the paper is absolutely perfect! The paper has a rough side (not very rough, but just perfect for colored pencils) and a smooth side. I have used both, and I absolutely love what I am getting from this paper. There is the perfect amount of tooth to grab the pigment. I will definitely be ordering more of this!

> 3 dayThis paper is is quite thin and has very little texture to hold multiple layers of colored pencil. Maybe itll work OK for graphite, but its horrible to try to build up and blend colored pencil
