The batteries are 2 double AA batteries, which powers the flashlight for many working hours. One of thee brightest handheld stylus lights I have ever seen. I would highly recommend this product and brand to anyone in need of a quality light. Ideal for working on Automotive applications. I would buy this again, and again, and again....
