Greater than one weekSo, to clear up any confusion, I can say for certain that this replacement button DOES work with the metal Streamlight Stinger DS LED flashlight. Also, the only tools I used were a small Phillips head screwdriver and some fine point needle nose pliers. The pliers were just to put in the small holes to screw out the metal ring that holds the LED assembly in and the screwdriver was for the two small screws that hold in the LED assembly and also act as the charger contacts. If you’re at least slightly mechanically inclined you can figure this one out. Picture is of the flashlight with the model and S/N visible after the replacement with this item’s packaging that shows the part number and the two tools I used. My only complaint was the price was higher than listed other places online, but probably right in line after shipping from the other vendors. And we’re talking about $5 after tax. It beats buying a new light and isn’t bad for having been through 3 years of heavy use.

> 3 dayIt definitely requires you to fully take it apart to get it in place. A good pair of split ring pliers is the recommended tool to remove the metal end cap holding the led bulb housing.

> 3 dayI bought this since the switch boot on the flashlight mysteriously went missing. I tried installing it but i could not get it to fit and almost gave up and returned it thinking i bought the wrong one. I finally did a google search and found out you have to completely take the flashlight apart to install the switch boot. pros works on the streamlight stinger cons requires the following to take apart the light and install - small philips head screwdriver - snap ring pliers
