Everything is as described, the vented top layer is great for drying and it’s as big of a coverage as possible for a carry on foldable umbrella. Nothing to complain, good for one person or two people tightly :)

A case of getting what you pay for. The release button/mechanism could not be built more cheaply and fails when the actuator jumps out of the buttons track for it. However, because this problem is readily visible and accessible inside the plastic handle, a small prybar such as a flathead screwdriver blade can be used to reposition the track and restore functionality.

I am very unhappy with this umbrella and absolutely would not recommend it. I waited quite a while before leaving my review so I could try it out a few times. Im very glad that I did because it broke by the third use, even without ever being used in strong winds or even heavy rain. The first sign of trouble was that the automatic mechanism that you release to open the umbrella stopped locking back into place when closed. This meant that every time I came inside, Id have to fully batten down the umbrella using its velcro tabs, or it would pop back open. I was trying to live with that, even with the risk that it would mold, but then the handle broke, so now I cant even easily carry it with me. I will still keep it around for emergencies when I have completely forgotten to plan for rain, but with all its problems, it is not worth the trouble for every day use.

I wanted a reflective WHITE umbrella to walk with since I have had skin cancer & need to block the direct sun rays. The white color is more reflective than the common black which absorbs the heat. I live in NM high desert where rays can be damaging. I learned from the East Indian & Nepali people who carry umbrellas to ward off the suns direct rays....it works!
