They are actual 14.5 inches from handle to end of spoons. Could of done it with screw drivers but not as smooth as these. Again watch videos online on how to and understanding drop steps. These tools make it as easy as possible. Good construction- they did not bend or flex too much when prying the beads over. The thin parts of the shank is key getting under the tire and using leverage to get it over. The protectors I didn’t really care for. They made it harder to install in some instances. Only wish I ordered w case but otherwise A1- should of bought this before.

The metal is soft and can scars in the spoons. Thus they grab the inter tube and that will Nick the tube and produce a hole. Tip soak your tubes in dish soap and water to make them less tacky.

Spoons are quite thick so thats a good thing they will do the job required.Could most probably do rideon tyres, will try at some point. The handles im not so sure about,i dont think the shank shaft extends far into them, there appears to be a bit of flex happening except for the bottom quarter.Would recommend grabbing the handle down as low as you can get with your hand or you may snap the handle off at some point. The handles are also very short, wouldve preferred more length & thickness as well.Theyll be ok for cycle tyres & walkbehind mower tyres

I used these to put pneumatic tires on a wheelchair rim and these were a life saver. One draw back is the spoon part is just a little too thick. I think it would have been easier to use had it been a little thinner so I could slide it under the tire and the lip of the rim and snap the tire under the rim better. It took me about 3 hours to put on two tires. It wasnt easy, but these made it a 1000 percent easier. They are pretty sturdy. The way I was tugging and pushing and shoving them around, they stood the test. Im very pleased and do recommend them if you take on the task of changing wheelchair tires yourself. I also wish there had been some sort of instructions for what all the pieces in the package were for as I didnt know what the little plastic things with the ropes were to be used for. Maybe had I known the job would have been even easier.
