Additionally, it is nice be able to push a button to collapse the umbrella enough to get into a building, car, etc. The problem arises after collapsing the umbrella and trying to put it back to its original, locked position. It takes a lot of oomph that I apparently dont have. I would not recommend if you do not have a great deal of arm strength.

Greater than one weekhad been searching for a weather proof umbrella mostly for sun protection as i was going to the beach last summer. this one does a good job of blocking the rain but its also noticeably cooler when using out in the sun, so i figure its UV protection is doing well. its a compact design easy to fit into backpacks and such, and the button which boths extends and contracts the umbrella is fantastic. no more awkward fiddling when out in the rain. it is however a little delicate. a strong wind could mess this up i think. the shaft on mine is already kind of wobbly after using in a heavy storm but thats to be expected for something of this size. it still works tho. the design i got is rather pretty as well. black under-lining, with cherry blossoms on top. love this umbrella. definitely plan to get one again whenever my current one needs to be retired eventually

> 3 daySun is no longer my friend , so i had to get something to protect my face from now on , and im only 30 , so i didnt want it to look really tacky . this was the only umbrella/parasol that seemed pretty as well as useful . its lovely and easy to open and close , you do need some strength to push it back down though . Its small enough it will fit in my 12 inch backpack to take everywhere . seems like it will be perfect for rain too .

> 3 dayEasy to open and close. Light pink and looks like the picture. Its a real sun umbrella. It has the black UV lining to block the suns Rays. It works well in the rain as well. Would recommend for a friend.
