> 3 dayAs an avid DIYer, I’m always on the lookout for tools that will help me get things done more efficiently. I have center punch tools, but they are not spring loaded and require a blow from a hammer to make the marks need to start a hole. That’s not so convenient when trying to mark something at a weird angle. These automatic center punches can be used with one hand and makes a nice visible mark on most soft surfaces, like wood or sheetrock. I have also tried them on harder surfaces like bricks and mortar, but it does take more than one try. One of the punches did not work properly in that the automatic spring action didn’t activate after using it once. I ended up disassembling the unit and putting it back together, and did not have the same issue again. I think something must have been misaligned at the factory. The punches also comes with 2 replacement tips, but the tips seem hard enough to be used hundreds of times without wear. Overall, this is a great tool to have in anyone’s toolbox. It makes drilling holes so much easier, you won’t want to be without it. And at the asking price, it is a very good buy.

> 3 dayThis is one of those tools you wont use often, but when you have a need for a center punch, its just the thing. The tools are well made, and two spare tips are included. There are no instructions, but its easy to figure out. Just line up the punch where you want it to penetrate, and then push down. The spring action cocks and then plunges the point down. The effects are subtle. In other words, dont expect to punch through without multiple tries. This tool is more for marking rather than punching through. The photo shows three holes punched in drywall and plywood. The middle hole shows where I punched the tool 12 times, and it still didnt penetrate the drywall. On the plywood, the middle shows shows 6 times, and it doesnt look a whole lot different from the other two holes. This tool definitely beats using a traditional nail setter or center punch and hammer, but dont expect it to penetrate without a lot of attempts.

> 3 dayIm very happy with these center punches. The adjustable springs make them easy to indent metal or wood. My old punch was really dull so these really make a difference. They come two to a set and there are also 2 extra needles. A real good value.

> 3 dayThese center punches are exactly as they show in the listing and come with 2 replacement tips in case they break or dent. They do work just find as you would expect but Im not sure how many times they will last. I used some cheap ones before that worked amazingly for about 4 times before it broke internally and never worked again. Hopefully these dont turn out that way. Overall, good working center punches that will hopefully last a while.

> 3 dayThese have so far worked really well for marking screw holes in wood and drywall. I tested its claims for metal on a piece of aluminum, and they both left a good, clear punch hole. These are made of nice stainless steel, which should give me a lot of use out of them. They are a great product, and priced really well, too.

> 3 dayI was impressed when I opened the package of the SuooTci Automatic Center Punch. The punches are all metal and have a good feel t them. They are easy to operate and the knurled barrel makes it easy to use with one hand. I made some test marks on wood and they handled that with no issue. The marks are clean and accurate. I also tried making some marks on ceramic and porcelain tile. While the marks were not as pronounced as on the wood (I wouldnt expect them to be), they were clearly visible and made a good spot for a drill bit to start. I have used the spring style center punches in the past. They worked well but cannot compare to the quality and performance of these punches. I appreciate that this was a pack of two punches and the two extra tips will ensure these will last for awhile. This punch set is very reasonably priced and the quality makes this well worth it.

> 3 dayHeavier than I thought they would be which is a good thing. Spring works well and left a decent center score on aluminum. A dozen scores and the tip shows no sign of wear or bending. The extra tips an extra if I do not lose them in the tool box. As a side note these will also work well as an emergency side glass widow breaker in your car ( old fire rescue tip).
