> 3 dayThese were a lot heavier than I expected. It’s well built and works great! Using light pressure you line up where you want and push. If you need to really indent use a hammer. The inner workings are sturdy and take whacks with out issue. Makes punch marks on anything with little effort.

> 3 dayThese are slim enough to easily center on your mark and push down on the tool to snap your punch mark. No more having the punch skate away when you hit it with a hammer. If you want a bigger mark just put your regular punch in the mark and hit with a hammer. Do not hit these punches with a hammer. At this price there is no reason to not have these in your tool box. It would have saved me a lot of time over the years to have these.

Greater than one weekThis is one of those tools you wont use often, but when you have a need for a center punch, its just the thing. The tools are well made, and two spare tips are included. There are no instructions, but its easy to figure out. Just line up the punch where you want it to penetrate, and then push down. The spring action cocks and then plunges the point down. The effects are subtle. In other words, dont expect to punch through without multiple tries. This tool is more for marking rather than punching through. The photo shows three holes punched in drywall and plywood. The middle hole shows where I punched the tool 12 times, and it still didnt penetrate the drywall. On the plywood, the middle shows shows 6 times, and it doesnt look a whole lot different from the other two holes. This tool definitely beats using a traditional nail setter or center punch and hammer, but dont expect it to penetrate without a lot of attempts.

Greater than one weekIm very happy with these center punches. The adjustable springs make them easy to indent metal or wood. My old punch was really dull so these really make a difference. They come two to a set and there are also 2 extra needles. A real good value.

08-06-2025I keep one of these on my workbench and one in my tool belt. I use it many for wood not metal but I can certainly see how helpful it would be for metal. Nothing like starting a hole with a bit on metal and seeing the bit scoot all over your work piece. With wood it makes a nice little divot to start a screw in or drill a hole.

> 3 dayThese center punches are exactly as they show in the listing and come with 2 replacement tips in case they break or dent. They do work just find as you would expect but Im not sure how many times they will last. I used some cheap ones before that worked amazingly for about 4 times before it broke internally and never worked again. Hopefully these dont turn out that way. Overall, good working center punches that will hopefully last a while.

> 3 dayThese have so far worked really well for marking screw holes in wood and drywall. I tested its claims for metal on a piece of aluminum, and they both left a good, clear punch hole. These are made of nice stainless steel, which should give me a lot of use out of them. They are a great product, and priced really well, too.
