The item is for catching all the hair and dust on the floor. It does a fair enough job. Not worth the money.

When you have cats, hairballs develop in corners in a matter of days. It is tiring to have to continuously pick them up with a tissue or sweep them up with the cat hair getting stuck in the broom. These Swiffer dust pads are easy to use and very effective. I actually even found myself happily dusting around my floors and dancing to music while doing it. It made me smile. Also helpful for dusting baseboards and in corners of the ceiling. I used my old Swiffer sweeper and attached some double-sided tape to hold the dust pads in place. Simple. My process is to vacuum, then use the Swiffer Sweeper Pet pads to go over the flooring. It picks up whatever the vacuum missed. Then I swiffer wet jet or mop. Highly recommend.

Easy sweeping that picks up everything. They may seem pricey, but even after it looks like the swiffer pet duster cloth is full, it keeps grabbing stuff, so one cloth does one floor completely. No noisy vacuum. No dust flying from under a broom. No pressure required, and it slides under furniture easily. If necessary, top it off with a Swiffer wet cloth on the same mop handle, and wipe wherever needed. I have six dogs and 3 cats inside, which means I sweep every day, sometimes twice a day. It makes it so much easier to clean up after them. No mixing water in a bucket and wringing out a mop.
