SYLVANIA Smart WiFi Plug WiFi plugs are a handy thing to have around nowadays. I have an Alexa home and she controls an awful lot of things. With these she can control more. I have set up smart plugs before as you might imagine. I had no issue-espresso with these at all and got a pair up and running to control two lamps as a pair. I found the installation easy and normal to what I’ve experienced before. This four pack is a bargain to me and as such and with an actual brand name, I do recommend them.

Pros: Easy set up IF you use their app. You can control with Alexa (you need to link it to your account). Blinking light to show you what mode it is in. Remembers if you unplug, plug it back in. Good price for a known brand. Directions are straightforward and in easy to read English. Cons: You can rename the plugs in the App IF you do so right away when setting up. I was able to rename later by telling Alexa to do it, but the new names do not show up in the app. Cannot figure out how to rename in the app. You can use the app to use these like a timer as well. It seems you have to use their app. I tried a couple more generic apps like Smartthings and Smartplug and they did not work. Only works on 2.4 GHz (most of these things only work on that frequency)

I have added these to my collection of multiple smart plugs throughout my house and office through different companies/makers. This one seems to be working good so far. Was fairly easy to set up. The only glitch I had was trying to get it to connect to Alexa. Their app itself has a button to push to connect you to your Amazon account however I just got an error that said the app I was using was old and needed to be updated. That’s where it got stuck. Well all my apps are up-to-date so this was not the case. It would not let me proceed past this point to connect it to my Alexa system. So I bypass that part by going directly to the Alexa app and connecting the two apps from that direction which work just fine. Little glitch, but was able to work around it. The plug themselves seem to be working just fine so far. Overall a great product. Recommended.

Does not work at all. Install so many apps. And seance i took to long to use them now i can not return them at all. Im stuck woth a worthless product. Do not buy at all.
