Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror - Sony PSP (Jewel case)

Great game and super easy controls. Have all games in the sypon filter world and plus 100 hours of game play. Can redo missions for extra weapon fun. Some mission very challenging for a shooter gamer of my caliber but a must have for the system. Has a great preview for some up and coming version still not out in the USA yet. Need to own this.

I bought this game when it was $50 and have no regrets. This series is the best on psx and psp is taking it to another level. Graphics are great and gameplay is awesome. There is tons of options to unlock and you can sync it with ps2 syphon filter. In conclusion i would like to say is that SYPHON FILTER IS THE GREATEST PSP GAME OF ALL TIME. Also Im playing syphon filter 3 on ps1 and that is one of the best games for that system. If your thinking about buying this game do not hesitate. Also multiplayer is feature is awesome. If you own a PSP but not this game, buy this game. Especially at the price its being offered now. I am not good at dual-stick shooters, and this is a variation on the theme using the right X,O,[],^ buttons to look/aim. It took me a while to get used to this, but the tutorial missions and campaign mode ramp up the difficulty very well, throwing a little at a time. I died often during the boss battles of the first couple missions, but playing them again after completing the entire campaign, I can easily go through without dying on hard mode. Ive gotten used to the shooting, the gadgets, and some techniques for clearing a room. This is my first Syphon Filter game, so Gabe Logan is a new character to me, and once I got used to the gruff Im Batman voice, I found the voice acting pretty good, lots of FMV to tell the story. Some of the movies are a little long, but not punishingly so like MGS:PW. The campaign is around 30 missions, each taking me 7-20 minutes to complete, a very good pace to keep the action and the story moving. Now that Im done, Im replaying the missions trying to improve my Career Rating. When you progress through your rating, you unlock new weapons, which are nice, but I may not use them, I just like the act of trying the same mission using different weapons/techniques. For example, try the mission killing the enemies with only a knife, or by only using headshots, or using the environment. Replaying the missions this way is a blast (literally, sometimes) and Ill probably log twice as much time doing this as I did during the story. The audio is great, when playing with headphones, you can hear baddies coming in through the squeaky door, then walking around the corner. The soundtrack is appropriate with excellent action cues. Its too bad you hear the UMD spooling up before the song plays though, it spoils a bit of the suspense. All in all, I knew this game was highly-rated before I bought it, but wasnt sure if I could overcome the controls. I shouldnt be surprised that I liked it so much, but I am. Buy it now!

First off, Id like to say I wasnt expecting this game to be at all what it is. I was expecting a half-assed game that was similar to the crap heap Syphon Filter; but I was wrong. Why? Because this game is amazing. I saw the reviews of 9 and above all over the net, so I decided to rent this. I am glad I did. It is just a fantastic game that blends in Goldeneye 007 gameplay in with Spinter Cell. Here is my review: Graphics: 9.5/10. Some of the best graphics ever on a PSP game. The ingame graphics are great, but the videos ( like the one at the beginning of the game ) is absolutely stunning. They look damn realistic, the only real problem is that the lips dont move realistically; other then that; these are some freakishly nice looking graphics even for the PSP. Sound: 9/10. Nice voice-overs. Nice gun sounds. Its all really good but nothing special. Hell, there is music in the background at times; and you hear chitchat among A.I. characters. Control: 9/10. Really quite similar to SOCOM Fireteam Bravo in ways... you can use L to lock on, and R to fire at the guy, or to look around you can use the triangle, circle, X, and O buttons. The controls can definitely be frustrating at times though because it can be a matter of life or death depending on how quick you can line the crosshairs up on a guy long range before he kills you. Fun: 9/10. Ive only played single player ( my wifi is broken at the moment ) and so far I am amazed at how spectacular this game is. It took me about 10-15 minutes to get used to the controls, the graphics look amazing, the sound fits well, and its just an awesome game to play. If you like playing games like Splinter Cell, SOCOM, or hell, just shooting games in general, you have to play this. Its confusing, hard, and aggrivating at times, but after you get through it you wont experience it for awhile. This game really is just a some-what difficult game, but for the most part, it isnt bad at all. Even if you dont like shooters; this is still worth a look. I havent even PLAYED the Multiplayer yet; that has to be some killer stuff. Have fun. 9.2/10

Boring game but thats from lack of intrest in it its a stealth action game that gets boring quick

This game is pretty good. Its like a mixture of Metal Gear Solid and a James Bond game for the PSP. The controls were initially VERY hard to figure out. They are not like the other shooters on the PSP. However, once you figure it out, its a fun game with a decent story for a portable game. It was lots of fun.

Ive always liked the Syphon Filter series but this game really revived my excitement for playing these games again. This one had good graphics and was easy to get used to the controls.

I am happy that i can play the game. One of my favorite series on the PlayStation. UMD case came separated? but it can still play, so i can make it work.
