Cracked right after install. Did not drop, hit or impact it in any way. Very cheap material

1st screen had 2 horizontal dead spots. 2nd screen also had 2 horizontal dead spots (different zones). It has no insulation on the digitizer so assuming you get a screen that works, will need to insulate with some kapton tape. Didn’t get to check the adhesive since I checked the screen prior to final reassembly.

Although it was easy to use, our IPad was destroyed beyond repair.

This thing is just awful. Once all of the cables were reconnected I tested to validate it was working prior to exposing the adhesive, all seemed well. Unfortunately once it was adhered to the ipad there was no longer response to touch. Requested a new one be sent, and in removing the first one I could see the ribbon cable actually detached from the digitalizer, and also the whole digitizer broke into a ton of little pieces when removing, unlike the OEM. It gets worse - a few days after the second one is installed the touch response just didn’t feel quite right. Turns out I have a 1-2 inch dead spot right across the entire middle of the screen. Still living with it to this day. Icing on the cake is this - a month or so after installing the second replacement, I get an email stating I will be charged for the replacement if the original order wasn’t returned. As I mentioned it broke into so many tiny shards it went into the trash without 2nd thoughts. So not only did I pay for 2 of these, But I am also left with a massive dead spot right across the center of my screen. .

It only kind of works. About half of the screen responds to touch. The other have does not.

So, this product is exactly as advertised and works very well to replace a broken digitizer on a 6th gen iPad. It provides essentially an as OEM replacement. My son dropped a metal lunch box on his iPad and destroyed the screen. Directly at the point of impact was an incredible star fracture, 1000s of tiny shards of glass. A few radiated further. It was very difficult to remove and just kept breaking into smaller and smaller pieces even with two layers of high strength packing tape all over it. But, that has nothing to do with this kit. The kit does provide almost all the tools needed to complete the repair. I additionally used a x-acto type hobby knife to cut around the layers of packing tape and to lift the corners of protection film to peel them off. Also, I used a heat gun to soften the factory glue to aid removal. I gave the adhesive on the replacement 4 stars because its not as strong as the factory glue, which might be a good thing if I have to replace it again. I believe it will be completely secure, but will update if it is not. The screen itself is a perfect, tight fit to the frame, as OEM. As another review has said, the only thing I could find that it didnt provide as glue components for the button and bracket, and the black plastic frame that surrounds the camera at the top. I made do. Also, for ease of install, I gave 4 stars for just one reason: on the right of the screen, the ribbon connectors that lead to the connector are very rigid as to not fold into place easily. I really had to massage the LCD screen and the digitizer a few times to get everything to fold back down into place. Overall, I was able to make it work, but it took some patience and a bit of rework to get everything to fold down behind the screen. This is a real nit-pick type thing and wouldnt dissuade me from using the product again. Watch several youtube videos and take your time. I spent 2/3 of my time on the repair in removing, cleaning, and prepping for new parts and the result was excellent.

Very easy to install, the hard part is removing the original when is broken.
