Terrific mask for stripes when using an airbrush.

Tamiya tapes works great as painting mask, and to hold parts together while glue sets. The tape is low-tack, so holds fine, but then can be removed easily with no residue (Ive left it on overnight, but wouldnt recommend leaving it on much longer).

I used this tape when assembling plastic model aircraft. It does a great job at holding pieces together while the adhesives set and it works great in masking for painting

The number one tape on the market for plastic model building hobbyists! I use the 18mm tape for masking larger areas prior to airbrushing, and, with its low-tack adhesion, it doesnt pull off underlying coats of paint that you apply this over. But, always take caution when removing the tape...peel it from the paint beneath slowly and carefully, just to be sure! For small areas, the 6mm wide tape is perfect. For masking compound surfaces, I will cut the tape into thinner strips, which helps it to conform more easily. Great for masking clear canopies and using a new exacto blade to trim away tape covering the frame work, so that the frames are the only areas exposed prior to airbrushing your canopies.

I like this tape to mask my models. Has not pulled paint up.

As usual with Tamiya, an excellent product that will make your life easier during your modelling/painting sessions. Having said this, dont use it to try to shield detail that you dont want to affect when is close by some sanding that you have to do, especially if you use a wet sandpaper. It will brake in pieces in no time. For that is better if you use transparent tape placed over it or in itself.
