17-11-2024We did have to replace one of the parts it came with for the air compressor hookup (it took forever to fill because it wasn’t airtight) and there is a slow leak. We’ve tried sealing it and it’s helped, but we do have to fill it up again after 1-2 hours. Otherwise, it does get the job done, but don’t be surprised if you have to fill it more than once to keep the pressure up.

> 3 dayIt had a problem with the regulator leaking air so I removed it and now the pot is holding pressure.

> 3 dayThe unit is heavy and well built. The only problem I have with it is that there was a nut and lock washer missing from the package. No big deal, but it was used to hold on one of the casters and was METRIC! That was no surprise since this was made in China. Its just a pain in the but to source a replacement of unknown size. Only one trip the Home Depot and buying both SAE and Metric nuts that looked like they would work.

> 3 dayI love the size of this pressure pot. It will hold almost all the different size pieces I will be working with. UPS bent one of the latches during shipping, didnt find it till after the drive left and I opened the box. I fixed it and it works great.

Greater than one weekIt worked fine out of the box. After a few months, it started leaking. The air intake regulator wasnt attached properly with plumbers tape. I fixed that issue. Then, the air intake regular started leaking from the 2 bolts on each side. My fix was to remove it entirely, because my air compressor has an air regulator on its output. I also had to use plumbers tape to seal each connection.

> 3 dayIt’s a good tank. In the end I’m pleased with how it works however…I did have some issues getting a seal that I eventually sorted out through trial and error. First almost all the fittings were tight but not tight enough to prevent a slow loss of pressure. Soapy water trick eventually solved this. Second the tank is shipped in a near useless cardboard box that was so battered and beaten that I wondered why they bothered at all. It’s a good thing that the loose parts are placed inside the tank prior to shipping or none of them would have been in the box. This lack of proper packaging I expect why another leak was created. There was a dime sized chip in the paint on the rim of the tank right where the lid gasket sits. Because the paint is thick, the lid gasket would not conform to the shape between where there is paint and no paint . The leak was slow but noticeable. In 12 hours it would lose 20 psi. Sanding the paint either side of the chip to reduce the ridge between paint and no paint, corrected the problem. The poor packaging also resulted in one of the lid clamps arriving bent. Fixable but when you spend $1000 canadian I would have thought it would be packaged well enough to ship it without damage. If it didn’t have to go through customs and take so long to be replaced I would have sent it back for a replacement that was undamaged. All of this said, it’s a good tank. Large enough for bigger castings to fit. Built strong enough to survive relatively well despite being battered during shipping. If you can get one without the damage from inadequate packaging then it’s 5 stars.
