Using this on a fluke 117

You can hang your meter on a piece of metal next to you so you arent fiddling with it, and test leads when youre working in panels or trouble shooting. Legitimately convenient enough to say its an investment in your safety. The strap is sturdy and the magnet is strong. The meter isnt going anywhere you dont want it to.

As a Root Mean Elite ;) automation tech in one of the distrubution centers of a very popular online retail seller, this has become one of the needs when troubleshooting an electrical cabinet. I used to have to find a place to prop my F---e 87 meter while testing fuses or I/O. Now, I just throw it on the cabient door and away I go. Especially nice when in a SEVere machine downtime issue, that few seconds saved is almost as invaluable as the meter itself. Now all the other techs want one!

This strap and magnet works well when you buy the right meter

It seems to have no problem holding my Fluke meter. Im not sure how I like the Velcro strap but time will tell.

Magnet is weak, doesnt hold up my Fluke meters, strap is low quality..

Arrived fast. The magnet is very strong. It came with a longer nylon strap, so I first attached the magnet to my OE Fluke strap and works perfect. If I need the longer one I have it. Im using on a Fluke 87v. Only thing is, if you buy the way more expensive fluke magnet kit, you get a little metal tab that the magnet sticks to while not using. This magnet is very strong and will pick up wrenches and metal parts easily.
