> 24 hourThe author was trying to cover a large area of information. The book needed to restrict its information to people with a small greenhouse and its needs.

> 24 hourIt should be called the The Greenhouse Grower Expert. that is to say, it talks briefly about design of green houses, and heavily about what you would do inside one that is already built- mostly about what one might grow inside such a structure. I loved The Fruit Expert, but was a bit dissappointed in teh lack of depth on design here.

> 24 hourI have bought books before on how to do things and they turned out to be not that much help but this one is different. Being new to greenhouse gardening and in the process of building one in my back yard,I decided to take the chance, well it was some of the best money that I have ever spent on a book. I was looking for something that would tell me how to grow things in the greenhouse, not how to build one. This book hit the spot. It tells you how to grow all types of flowers and vegetables with names and wonderful color pictures. All I will need to do is go to the seed catalog and order what I think I will like. Dr. Hessayon talks also about watering, ventilating, sowing seed, propagating, plant troubles and how to correct them, and then of all things a month by month of what to do doing that time of the year. Again for the money I got a winner,a book that I will use over and over again until it is wore out and at the price I gave for it, I wont mind buying another copy. Michael Beck [email protected]

> 24 hourNot written for my climate zone but has great troubleshooting and plant disease photos! If you only use a greenhouse, this book has chores and planting schedules for each month.

> 24 hourBook is OK but requires some translation from English to American. Also, seems to be written only from the standpoint of greenhouses and conservatories that are in England and the English climate. I have never heard of many of the plants mentioned in this book, possibly because they are called something different in the US or maybe not available here at all. I have also never heard of growing bags which he spends loads of time discussing and apparently dirt is a rare commodity in the part of England where he lives. I specifically wanted to learn about starting and growing vegetables in the Midwestern US and this is definitely not the book for me.
