> 3 dayLove this movie when it first came out. Ended being the best one out of the series. This movie really freaked me out the first time.

> 3 dayThis movie is really good especially if you dont like a lot of gore. Also, the setting in Japan is different than what you usually see in a horror flick.

21-11-2024Ive seen the original Japanese as well, but this is an excellent adaptation for American audiences. I recommend seeing the Japanese to compare, but definitely dont watch alone at night LOL...

> 3 daySome of the previous reviews never fail to amaze me. People write in pouring 4 or 5 extensive paragraphs of gobble-de-gook trying to show off their vast wealth of knowledge of the motion picture industry, or lack of. Not necessary, folks! The Grudge is simply a good scary movie with moments of sheer terror. If you want to watch a movie that will scare your pants off, this is it. Quite simply, a GOOD SCARY MOVIE. Period.

> 3 dayI really enjoy watching this movie. It has a creepy element without being gross. Reminds me of the old, old horror movies that have you looking over your shoulder to make sure know one is there.

> 3 dayThis was the American version of the Japanese horror flick Ju-On. It took that story and just threw in a bunch of white people from America who got caught up in a cursed house in Japan. Thus you have the same creepy looking kid in the house and the woman with the hair haunting and killing people. Have to say despite those two iconic figures the movie is just okay. I never felt it got scary. The best part is when fingers appear in the back of Sarah Michelle Gellar. Overall I don’t think this movie has aged well and has lost a lot of its aura for me.

> 3 dayFinally I now own the UNRATED EXTENDED CUT of The Grudge from 2004. Ive only ever had the Theatrical PG-13 version in my DVD collection for the LONGEST time until I found this UNRATED DVD Edition which features more disturbing imagery, bloody scenes, and at least an 8 min longer difference from the original PG-13 Cut. Thats the length of a whole short film which is how Extended Cut releases like this one should be! This is a very cool edition of the film to own! Highly recommend!

> 3 dayFirst I just want to say I think the movie is OK but I think Ju-on(The Japanese Original) is better and anyone who likes The Grudge has to check it out. As for the product itself, it is pretty awesome, when you open the case it has a picture on the inside of the cover which I have not seen a lot of lately so it was nice to see this again. The Blu-ray has one disc that includes both Theatrical and Unrated versions but trust me when I say you are going to want to watch the unrated version, its sooooo much better. The Main Menu is nice and has many special features including 2 Ju-on short films called 4444444444 and In a Corner, if you are a big Ju-on fan you will know what these are but if not, they are pretty much scenes that explain what happened to certain characters in the Original made for TV Ju-on film Ju-on: The Curse. Anyway, it was nice to see those short films on here because I think they are really good. The only reason I didnt give this 5 stars was because there was a little dent on the front of the case which I dont really like because It looks pretty bad but I will probably just get a replacement case. All in all, I am very satisfied with my purchase and would recommend.
