I love this movie. Parts of the movie was filmed in Portland, ME. I lived up the road from Deering Oaks park where they ice skated. They were not very lucky during the filming. It was a strange winter, very little snow and cold weather that year. I love watching to see my old stomping grounds, since I moved to Newport RI

I love this movie, it has been in my holiday must-see movies list every year since it came out. I was happy when I found it on Blu-Ray because it the DVD version in my collection is in frustrating poor quality. And Blu-Ray format delivered, it is crystal clear.

This film will always be one of our favorites. This contemporary re-make of The Bishops Wife shines with wonderful performances by Denzel Washington, Courtney B. Vance, Jennifer Lewis, young Justin Pierre Edmund and the soul-stirring vocals of Whitney Houston. Turning despair into triumph - and containing just the right amount of humor - this film quietly resonates with faith and will put a song in your heart and a smile on your face.

DVD was in fine condition....great movie for the xmas holiday season. surprised this wasnt on any of the networks since houstons death

Love this movie, this movie for me is a Christmas favorite. Around Christmas time I watch Scrooge, Christmas Story, The Long Kiss Goodnight and The Preachers Wife. Great line-up for the holidays.
