Greater than one weekI am out of order with chronological releases since I read the Sharing Spaces series first, then Blog it Out Bitch, and now this one. Every time I read a book written by Nina they get better and better for me. I love her writing style. I fall right into the rhythm, and just glide through each chapter. I am ready for the sequel to this book, for Lily in the Middle, and the sequel to Sharing Spaces RIGHT NOW! I adore Violet and Jack. I am very cautious about Ms. Sweet because you should never trust anyone named that nicely. Kalina is my favorite because vampires are awesome especially ones that wear leather. The is a great story and is family friendly for your teenager.

> 3 dayThis is a spectacular story that may be written for the YA crowd, but it has an intriguing story that anyone would find interesting and wrapped up in. Its very well written, the characters are developed nicely, and the attention to detail is phenomenal. Its a great start to a great adventure, and I look forward to losing myself in their further adventures.

> 3 dayNina Perezs character and scene development are strong. She makes it effortless for the reader to envision it all in their minds eye. The teens (a boy and girl) in this book are completely believable. Their thoughts, conversations and actions are current and very realistic. This is a must read for anyone who loves vampires, magic, witches and such. I appreciate that the female teen character in this book is not the must get the boy or die type. She is smart, strong, not too perfect and, in this readers opinion, a much better model for teen girls. This author leaves you yearning for the next installment!

> 3 dayI have yet to be as engrossed in a YA novel since Harry Potter. The Twin Prophecies, grabs your attention from the very beginning and leaves you begging for you more at the end. An engrossing tale of two teenagers who share a common bond of losing their parents and being thrust into a life that is beyond their control. I cant wait until the next novel; I know what Im treating myself to for Christmas.

> 3 dayAt first, I was worried this book was going to be another paranormal romance, but I was pleasantly surprised that it wasnt at all. Its marketed for YA, but as a grown adult, I enjoyed it too. It only took two days to read it, because I could not put it down. Excellent book, especially for a debut author. I dont read a lot of fantasy, but the storyline was original to me. I saw it as sort of like Harry Potter meets the good parts of Twilight, with some fancy technology thrown in. The dialogue was natural, not annoying and unrealistic like a lot of other authors, and though its not meant to be a comedy, its got just enough jokes in just enough places. My only complaint about the book is that it wasnt long enough. I wanted more! Cant wait for the sequel.

> 3 dayWow. Starting reading this today and could not put it down! I love how I can get involved in this book as an adult even though it is a YA novel. The characters and storyline keep me involved and wanting more. I dont want to ruin anything for anyone who is thinking of buying this book, so Ill just say this: Stephanie Meyer needs to step up her game now that Nina Perez is on the market!

> 3 dayNinas book kept me engrossed over three fast-paced nights. From the first page onwards I was caught up in Violets and Jacks world. From the death of their parents to their discovery of hidden powers, and the threats to their lives because of their heritage, Ms Perez doesnt let her debut novel sag at any stage. She populates the story with believable but impossible characters. We have fairies, werewolves, vampires and witches, some allied with humanity, others not, all central to a conspiracy that will have a devastating impact not only on Violet and Jack, but perhaps on the human race, too. Ms Perez has a flair for dialogue and plot twists and is in no doubt where she intends to take her characters and ourselves, her readers. For what has been described as Twilight meets Harry Potter, The Twin Prophesies is the start of something special. Read it.

> 3 dayI cant add much more than what has been said in previous reviews. I purposely waited several weeks after reading the book to see how I felt. Did I truly care about the characters? Am I in anticipation for the next book? Do I remember significant details about the book and its characters? I can say yes to all 3. As someone else mentioned. It could have been longer. I think there are parts of the story and characters that I think could have been flushed out more. Overall it was an enjoyable and quick read. Nice addition to the world of Young Adult fiction. I look forward to the rest of the series. The following comment has nothing to do with the Author but with the Amazon publishing: Ive had the book about 2 months a few weeks after purchasing the book the plastic covering on the book jacket started peeling and I think it only stopped because I finished the book. The book has not gotten wet or been exposed to extreme temperatures. Im not sure if it was a batch issue or what.
