For the price its hard to find flaw in this. the temperature is accurate to as close as I can tell with a very hard to read mercury thermometer which is probably 30 years old or better, and trying to be rid of mercury products was the primary reason I decided to get this one. Its obviously a lot bulkier than the old style mercury thermometer. because of the LCD readout and battery compartment but it is still very light. The flexible tip seems alright but wasnt a selling point to me since Ive been used to a glass one for so long, but it does feel more comfortable since it is not so rigid. PROS: + Light weight in the mouth. + reading is faster than mercury thermometer. + comes with a protective case. CONS: - the button feels very mushy. it doesnt click, and it feels like you have to press it very deeply into the device for it to register. If you have large fingers or thumbs, the button is small enough and set flush enough that you may find it difficult to push the button in all the way to power it on/off

I dont trust the thermometers that scan your forehead they always give different values. This one gets the same value if you try different times or close enough to the value that its the same basically.

I keep this in my travel toilette bag with my small first aid n meds and a Covid test. For the price the size is great - small for travel.

Very simple to use and read. Wish the screen was a little bit larger. But it’s super fast to get the reading where some I’ve used in the past take forever. Would purchase again

I have three different digital thermometers and just for fun, took my temperature with all three within minutes of each other. Got three different results, with a variance of 1.4 degrees. Not sure which one was accurate, but I suppose a ball-park guess is okay in most situations. These were all cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for. Id recommend spending a little more to get an accurate reading.

Whats important is that a thermometer be consistent. If the reading rises, you want to know its you, and not the thermometer giving variable results. I have a high quality, well-tested thermometer but when my wife went into isolation for Covid she took it with her. We had Amazon overnight this one to us, and I had her spend a day comparing the two. This one consistently read half a degree higher than the other one, but who knows which one is right? Half a degree is not important. What matters is that when the reading on one went up, the reading on the other also went up the same amount. Bottom line: this thermometer was as reliable for tracking changes in body temperature as the more expensive fancy one. If one reads 98.4 and the other reads 98.8, which ones accurate? Who knows? Who cares? What you want to know is if it went up, or down, and by how much.

Easy to use/operate. Fast accurate readings in a very short time (~14 secs). Well worth the cost.
