Grandson is 4 and with his grandfather has tacked this puzzle twice in last 2 weeks. He loves that we bought bought him 100 piece puzzle. At his age bigger is always better. Hope he eventually starts to learn about all the fish in the picture. For now he is satisfied with just learning to tackle the puzzle itself.

Bought this for my dinosaur-loving 5 (now 6 year old) daughter. I actually learned / had reinforced a bunch of the dinosaur names and eras from the pictured labels. Highly recommend as a gift for your JR paleontologist.

Perfect for family fun with the little ones. Nice step up from the simple toddler puzzles. Well-made and informative. Large puzzle pieces help the little ones with dexterity training. The larger size makes it easier for them. My grandson and I are very happy with it. We work a little bit on it each night so that he does not get frustrated and can see that he is making progress. I take pictures along the way so that we can go back and remind him of how much progress he has made. We talk about each of the animals he happens to have found a piece for. We Google them for more information on his tablet. I set up its own small table out of the way so that there would be no rush to finish, or so that we did not have to take it down before it was finished. I want him to have that sense of accomplishment that one finds at the end of a puzzle. A 3-foot folding table with a puzzle piece sorting box was perfect. I plan to frame the completed puzzle for his room. I want him to see that he can do anything if he tries hard enough and works at it. I want this to serve as a reminder that difficult things can be tackled and accomplished. And, that the more you work at them, the easier they become. You can get past the frustrations that come with difficult tasks. He is little, but he is learning. This is a great puzzle for interaction with your little one. It is also a great way to teach them about the animals around us.

This is a good puzzle for kids because it has many animals and not too many pieces. The colorful illustration is nicely done. There is a cheat code on the back but it really shouldnt be necessary.
