The pieces are large and thick enough to be used again and again. The back has letters so you can know where pieces go. This is a nice touch to keep young ones from getting too frustrated. The edge of the puzzle is labeled with each creatures name. It makes learning effortless. My kids wanted to learn more about certain fish after working on this puzzle! I think this would be a great gift for children. We highly recommend it.
