> 24 hourPredrill starter holes for these hooks and installation will go much easier. We ended up snapping off two of them trying to get them screwed in deep enough. Says theyll hold 40 pounds. Well see. Im hanging a flowering pot on one of them.

> 24 hourI have my outdoor lights strung through my plumeria tree and then draped on a light pole. For some extra sturdiness and to ensure the pole doesn’t tip or sag with time, I used these little hooks to attach a piece of small wire from the pole to the hook which I screwed into my siding. I like the snap in place closure and these are very sturdy. I’ll most likely use the rest for Christmas lights or other holiday decor.

> 24 hourThese hooks work well for hanging seasonal lights. They have a clip on them, so when using outside the lights won’t blow off the hook. They are easy to screw in. They come with drywall screws if you are installing them into a non-wood wall.

> 24 hourTLDR: Great hooks for plants, larger light setups etc. but definitely a bit big for smaller string lights. The hooks are so large in comparison to these kind of lights that it is comical looking! But these are still great for larger items that need hanging! We originally got these to hang some fairy lights from our ceiling in our living room, but honestly they are a bit to big for these lights and it makes them looks a little silly. However using globe lights or large string light sets outdoors these would be perfect. They are made nicely and seem sturdy. I love that they close shut in case we do use them for more outdoor items so we won’t need to worry about anything blowing away! Definitely worth getting if you have lots of larger things to hang but may want to hold off if you have small lights etc and get a bit smaller size!

> 24 hourThese hooks are great! Ive used similar C-style hooks before in my garage. I moved and in the new garage a standard C hook wasnt holding things reliably (theyd fall off) so I wanted to try an enclosed hook. I got these and they are awesome. The spring enclosure is far higher quality and feels more durable than I expected or was even hoping for. These are really well assembled! The hook size is a bit big for holiday lights, though you could use them for that.

> 24 hourI had removed many of the hooks installed by previous owner when I installed some semi permanent lighting strips to the eve recesses outside our home. There were other Christmas decorations to install so I used these hooks. These hooks are priced well for their quality. They may be over sized for Christmas lights. Theyre rather blunt and larger diameter than others so I did find it best to use a drill to start a pilot hole before threading these hooks in place. But the hookclosure on these hooks is a nice solution for string looped decorations that could just blow away with the wind. No worries of losing them this year. These hooks are likely strong enough for other purposes throughout the year.

> 24 hourFor uses like hanging string lights to a wood surface, these are very practical. Having hung lights with regular hooks I can really appreciate the spring loaded closure. It keeps the wire trapped so that it cant fall off when blown around by wind or just accidentally pulled. And its easy to remove without having to remove the hook. The hooks themselves are pretty strong so they will hold on well when screwed into a wood surface. I wish I knew about these sooner. I hope this helps. Thanks for reading and liking.

> 24 hourThis is exactly what we needed to hang up our string lights on our back porch. After drilling a tiny hole, they screwed right in. They also come with drywall anchors if you are screwing into drywall, but we did not need those. Each book has a little latch to provide extra support and secure items neatly in place. These were very easy to use and sturdy!

> 24 hourGood hooks. Always needed for a lot of things in household. Like the idea with spring stopper but...if these hooks are mounted up high, you will not be able to just take the thing off the hook. You will need steps. I took it to set up decoration lights around the porch, so those stoppers will work good not to get lights blown away with wind. And price wise, it is ok.
