> 24 hourI like these butt connectors because they have the heat shrink on the ends used them for a radio install . They crimp like normal ones then you use a heat gun to shrink and seal the wires to the connectors .

> 24 hourThese are great. The metal inside is thick like it should be. When heating the heat shrink it shrinks nicely without over heating it.

> 24 hourFor many years, I made wire-spice connections by soldering and applying heat shrink tubing to the joints. It’s a time consuming process, and a big hassle especially when spicing has to be done in the field. I converted to using crimp connectors a few months ago and haven’t gone back to soldering since. I stay away from the lower-priced PVC connectors that tend to crack when crimped. Nylon connectors such as these won’t crack regardless of crimping pressure. As long as you match connector color to wire gauge and use the right size crimper, you will end up with a neat, secure joint that can’t be pulled apart easily. Having the heat shrink tubing already on the connector is an added convenient. When shrunk, tubing wraps tightly around the wire, creating a water resistant seal. If you do wire splicing, this is a good set to have around.
