This took my mid 2012 MacBook Pro from unworkable levels of slow to the fastest thing I’ve ever used. If you have an older compatible MacBook (non retina) with 4gb of RAM, but this now and never look back. Best $60 ever spent.

> 3 dayUsed this to upgrade my Late 2013 iMac 27 from 16 to 32 GB RAM. Learned the hard way of a RAM parameter I had not previously been familiar with: CAS latency (which was not even mentioned in Apples own upgrade instructions). The OEM RAM Apple used was CL11. If you add RAM with a *faster* (i.e., better) CL rating (e.g., CL10), the memory controller will actually reduce the clock rate for memory access from 1600 MHz to 1333 MHz! Not that its a huge effect for many typical uses, but still.

> 3 dayHad no problems installing it or with the Mac recognizing it. Performance with the addition of 16GB to an older backup Mac (2011) desktop shot up immediately. Other than Mac OS upgrade limitation due to older model, the memory added more life to this outdated Mac by at least 2-3 years, maybe more.
