> 3 dayI have a MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012) that was still in great condition but was slowing down to a crawl due to the amount of RAM needed to run modern OS. This upgrade was easy, and has drastically improved the performance of my Mac.

20-11-2024I have a mid-2012 Macbook Pro 13 and it was becoming harder and harder to do anything without my system hanging up and things taking forever, so I looked into what upgrades I could make from my two 4GB (8GB overall) RAM modules and a 750GB HDD. I ordered these two 8GB (16GB overall), combined with a 1TB SSD from Crucial, and a StarTech SATA to USB cable to copy everything over, and within about 45 minutes I had a seemingly brand-new, lightning-fast computer. Cost my about $90 total for what amounted to an incredible upgrade. The only thing Ive been upset about after using this new configuration for about a month is that I didnt do it sooner. I know the RAM upgrade alone probably would have sped things up slightly. Paired with a new SSD I dont know if Ill need to purchase another computer for quite some time.
