This is the second time that I buy a protective case made by TomToc, The first one being my 12.9 IPad case. I must say that both of the cases feel like premium quality, I love the pattern of the moon on mine (thats the version I ordered). The case itself has lots of room in it and the top part really does protect the button layouts. Personally I use it to carry my Hori pads and OLED along with all of my games- theyre stored in it, Mobile or at home. To sum things up; Very very satisfied, Would recommend getting one if youre on the fence or need a good protective case while using the Hori pads.

I wasnt sure about the moon theme when I bought this case. It doesnt look good in pictures at all. I went ahead and took a chance because I needed a case for my switch with hori split pad pro (which I love) and I wanted something other than basic black which is the only other color choice for this case. In person, this case looks WAY better than the pictures and I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. The moon theme really pops and isnt too in your face like the pictures make it seem. The outer surface feels smooth, sort of velvety, but not rough which is how I expected it to feel from my experience with other Tomtoc Switch cases (Ive loved all other Tomtoc cases I have tried). The inside is soft and plush like all other Tomtoc switch cases. My switch with the split pad pro fits perfectly in this and I use the case to store my controllers when I have them detached from my switch. If youre on the fence about his one, go ahead and give it a chance. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Fits Perfectly with the Split Pad Pro attached. Fits OLED & All. Even has 2 layers, for Games. Compared to Smaller cases, its a Biggun. But Im an, On The Go Gamer. (Only qualm is, the Top is a bit soft.)

Did I say huge, yes I did. The funny thing is for as big as this thing is you can on fit the switch in there. There is no extra room.

Tomtoc makes some nice cases, and this is yet another one. Its sturdy, provides good protection for the items within it and seems like it will hold up very well. The lunar pattern here is nice and almost looks like a texture (though it isnt). The zipper is quality and doesnt snag a bit and the inside is soft and will definitely protect the switch and the attached controller. So why remove a star here? Well its more about what isnt here vs what is. While this will certainly hold the Hori Split Pad while connected to the Switch (and seems to be the only case that will), outside of a few game cards, it wont hold anything else. Not even a charging cable. So when you think about the extra battery draw the Hori puts on the Switch, youll definitely have to carry other things - sub ideal to be sure. At that point, I think youre better off getting a narrower but deeper case (tomtoc makes one that will work, though without the lunar pattern) that can hold the Switch with its original Joycons + the Hori pad (detached) in a top component along with the charger and some game cards. That would give you more play options and would still do the job, trading depth for length. Thats why the loss of a star - this just isnt really that versatile and is very specific - must you care the Switch with the Hori pad attached?

A must have if you use the hori split pad.

It might look odd, but the moon theme makes since since the top has raised buttons, similar to raised rocks/craters, to fit the hori split pad pro. The theme makes a lot more sense when you see it in person. With the increasing number of hori split pad pros being made, I am glad tomtoc made a carrying case. Tomtoc is my favorite line in terms of slim design and protection. I also love that the flap for game cases doesnt use velcro which a lot of cases typically use. Without velcro, it makes putting it into the case very easy. Also, you dont have to worry about the switch moving around thanks to the tight fit. I much prefer to this case to the Butterfly hori split pad pro case. I hope tomtoc releases more designs in the future!

The perfect case for Hori Split Pad Pro controllers. Everything fits snug and neat, and I have 30 slots for game cartridges. And it’s the moon, so of course I had to get it. A wonderful case and for the price I’m amazed. Just get it.
